We needed somewhere to stay for one night while visiting relatives in the vicinity but Horseshoe Cottage farm was so comfortable and welcoming that we would have happily stayed longer. The location is idyllic and the farm buildings are very attractive. The property has been renovated to a very high standard and our room was very cosy and really beautiful...

Thank you so much for taking the time to give us such a super review with such nice comments. As you know the eggs come from our own hens and the bacon and sausage from the local butcher so the quality is always top notch and so I am glad you enjoyed it. We hope that you will come and...

"Having come with our 4, 2year old and 8 week old we were greeted by Linda who was unbelievably friendly and helpful- this continued till the moment we left. Nothing seemed too much trouble and we found the rooms to be spotlessly clean, cosy and perfect for our needs. She even planned ahead for the children and had found a...

Your lovely family are welcome back anytime, such well behaved children and the adults were great fun too!! I can remember well travelling with small children and the stress of new surroundings can be daunting so every little bit of help can make the difference. Thank you for taking the time to review us and for your kind words, it...

Our second stay at this beautifully renovated property and it didn't disappoint! Warmest of welcomes from the owners who go out of there way to accommodate guests and are always on hand to share their knowledge and recommendations of the local area and amenities. We needed a home away from home for 7 nights, whilst visiting our family in England from America. Horseshoe Cottage was a perfect haven for us. Linda and Tim helped in so many ways... Illness, laundry, special Christmas Day breakfast and 3 teens was never too much for them. We love the dogs too :)

Your family were great fun and it took me back to my teenagers a few years ago. We are glad you enjoyed yourselves and I hope that you will come again to see family or indeed for work. We met your Aunt the other day as they have moved back to Leicestershire.....small world!

We stayed at the horseshoe cottage farm in mid-December 2016 for one night. We had a great time! The owners, Linda and Tim, were so friendly and welcoming. They both made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. We arrived quite late due to roadworks, and Linda very kindly organised a last minute reservation at a local Italian restaurant...

Durham to Torquay is a long haul and we get quite a few guests stopping off here to break the north/south journeys and we are so glad you enjoyed it. Yes, the flapjacks are homemade as are the jams etc at breakfast and of course the bread. We really do appreciate guests taking the time to tell us that we...

What a lovely place Horseshoe Farm is. Our room was comfortable and spacious, and there were lots of lovely extras like homemade flapjack and organic toiletries. Linda and Tim are the perfect hosts, and are so very helpful and obliging. The breakfast is utterly delicious with a huge choice (highly recommend the porridge). A truly lovely place in a delightful...

Stayed in this fantastically located B&B for a gin weekend. Right next to the park for a lovely walk to the Xmas Market. Linda was very helpful ahead of time with some great recommendations for lunch/dinners (apparently there is a shortage of good pubs/restaurants so make a booking). The room was very comfortable. And the fire was lit! Great home...

Maybe next time you come......! I will cook for you. However as you say the pubs are good round here so there is not a shortage but they do get busy. Thanks so much for your review and we hope you enjoyed your homemade bottle of gin from Burleighs, such a fun way to spend an afternoon. #gin45school

Fantastic accommodation. Loved the welcome and friendliness of Linda. Our room was changed to one at the other end of the B&B due to the fact we were going out so early in the morning to walk and photograph on the park with the deer so as we didn't disturb the other guests. Wonderful thinking there Linda! We were shown...

Thanks so much for your lovely review. I am glad you enjoyed yourselves even though you left to photograph the deer before dawn. Just come back from a two nights stay at Horseshoe Cottage Farm. Lovely, quiet, comfortable room with everything you could possibly need all to hand. Lovely rural location...
