Our horse-holiday was perfect. All horses were well taken care of, and felt safe and stabile. The apartment was spacious, and we enjoyed large portions of home made italian cooking in the restaurant. The owner of the castle was particularly attentive to his guests, and kept us company through several dinners. All in all a truly amazing holiday experience. Would...

We only had one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Lovely location and the owner is very proud of his castle and wants to share it with you. You are made to feel so welcome by all of the staff. Our room was lovely and clean, the food amazing and plenty of it. The horse riding here looks...

We went here for a couple of days to enjoy some riding sessions after searching the web for some riding activities in the tuscany area. And I can honestly say we were absolutely blown away by this place!! First of all, the staff, with Cristina leading the way, welcomed us in a way that made us feel like we were...

We had a wonderful time at Santa Cristina. We were treated like family and the whole staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. We participated in horseback riding, local visits to wineries, wen to he local lakes and restaurants. Everything was local within a 1/2 hour drive, but the Castle was remote and quiet. They offer full service meals,...

I only wish we could have stayed longer! This was exactly what our group was looking for in this area: In the country, low-key and non-fussy accomodations, horses, a working farm, history and an option to do either relax or be active. The location is great for those who don't want to be in the middle of hustle and bustle...

This is my second visit to Santa Cristina as I had such an amazing horse riding holiday last year. Everyone is so helpful and friendly and never leave you wanting. Kylie and Tabby are amazing with the horses and the hacks they take you on are breath taking. The food is delicious and one of the main reasons I returned...

This was our second visit to Castle Cristina and we have completely fallen in love with everything to see and do here. We mainly come for the riding as we have a horse mad daughter and we have never been disappointed. The horses are gorgeous and very well cared for, the tuition is second to none and the hacking in...

Our second visit in the last year and now becoming home from home. Accommodation is rustic rural Italian and bit of an eclectic mix of stuff. More than made up for by the friendly and always helpful Antonello and Cristina and their great team. Top marks also the horses and to the great trial riding. We have booked again for...

The Castello di Santa Cristina is a wonderfully relaxing place to stay in a beautiful spot in the countryside. We were a little ahead of season so didn't use the swimming pool but it looked appealing towards the end of our week as the weather warmed up. The service was excellent and the staff helped immediately with any problems that...

Located at the borders of Lazio, Umbria & Tuscany, one and a half hours from Rome, half way between Orvieto and Siena, the breathtakingly splendid 17th century castle, Castello di Santa Cristina, (complete with fairytale turret) has been the property of the noble Caterini family for generations. Over the past ten years, the castle' s nearby 18th Century ivy-covered farmhouse and out-buildings have been carefully restored to retain their authenticity and separated into 8 self-catering cottages and 14 bedrooms with Bed & Breakfast for guests, furnished with original pieces, can offer you unique country holidays. A perfect location if you are looking at farmhouse holidays where you can explore the various neighboring historic towns including Orvieto, Sorano, Acquapendente and Grotte Di Castro. We offer sensational Tuscan cuisine, fantastic cooking courses and unique weddings in the castle grounds. The Castello di Santa Cristina is also an ideal place for a horse riding holiday. On our exciting trail excursions, we travel as far as Proceno, Lake Bolsena and to the beautiful nature reserve Selva Del Lamone. Riding lessons are something you should not miss when on a holiday with children.
