On our journey to the Amalfi Coast we took a one-night break in this marvelous house, in which already Dante was longing for his lover. We arrived in the dark and were warmly welcomed. Staying in the main house (room 24: Di doman non c’è certezza) we enjoyed a bath before having a delicious dinner with local specialities. Waking up in a sunny winter morning above the fog on the valley was breathtaking. A marvelous experience that will be definitely repeated. Gianni & Claudia

This 12th Century tuscan villa is wonderful. The views are amazing. Warm and welcoming staff. The restaurant offers great food and wine to a very good price. A bottle of local, fantastic tuscan wine is 15 euros. Really recommend!

I stayed in Il Trebbiolo Relais for three calm and beautiful days, enjoying the pool or traveling to Fiesole and Florence by morning bus and returning in the afternoon. Amazing staff who also assisted with transportation and local information. Great breakfast and delicious local Tuscana dinner. Large rooms with beautiful view and very well kept. It was the perfect place to end my Via Degli Dei trail hike. Will be very happy to visit again.

My friends and I stayed at Il Trebbiolo Relais for a weekend and we loved our experience would definitely come back! The food at the hotel was excellent and their sandwhich shop nearby also has delicious options for lunch. The rooms were clean and heated well and we especially loved seeing the sunrise from the room!

An absolutely amazing stay at this gorgeous villa/agriturismo!
The owners are extremely friendly and accommodating, the food is mostly local from their own garden, the view is breathtaking... what else could you ask for? I have been here a few times and each time is just a confirmation of how marvelous this place is and makes you feel. See for yourself and you definitely will not regret it!!!

Rustic hotel from the 12th century with modern rooms in old style. Wonderful location with great views. Ok breakfast with great coffee. We stayed for 4 nights and will gladly return. We visited Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Vinci and racing at Mugello Circuit.

Do not ever think about staying at this hotel. I have never written a review on here before but this was so bad I could not think of anyone else going through what we went through. The setting is great but the lady who runs this business is dis-organised. We booked 15 rooms for our wedding guests and we are still in dispute over the charges. There was no hot water for guests and the rooms were falling apart. You've been warned.

I had the pleasure to stay at Trebbiolo Relais for a few days.

Perfect location after a busy day in Florence for example.

The Hotel is about 30 to 45 minutes away from Florence straight into the beautiful Tuscany Mountains.

After a good breakfast ( available was a few delicious cakes, Ham, Chees, bread or you ordered your eggs individually)can enjoy the day at the pool in between the Olive trees or make some trips around the area.

The Dinner was realy tasty and the used products are local items or even from the own garden!

The large room with a seperate bath ( big tube and seperate massage shower) has an typical rustic style and a comfortable double bed.

The most important thing for me was the friendly and very welcoming staffs and the owner of the Hotel!!!

Next time for vacation! =)

Regards
Tobi V

Il Trebbiolo Relais was the first stop on our honeymoon. We wanted to be relatively close to the Mugello race track as we were attending the MotoGP, and this hotel was a short drive from the track, but wasn't full of rowdy race-goers. It's also only about 15 minutes drive from Florence.

The day after the GP, we just wanted to relax. The hotel could not have been more perfect for this! Stunning views, a beautiful pool, an absolutely tranquil location, and great food with locally sourced ingredients made this the perfect Tuscan getaway! Expect attentive staff and lots of peace and quiet - if you want to spend your holiday on the internet or in the hotel bar, this isn't the place for you, The grounds themselves are extensive and well worth a walk around before retiring to the pool.

The hotel itself is a traditional old villa, with painted frescos in every room. On booking we told them that we would be on honeymoon, and arrived to find ourselves in the best room in the hotel, with the requested bottle of Prosecco chilling in the mini-bar. Our room was at the front of the hotel with stunning views over the hills, a dressing room, and a large bathroom. I've never stayed in a hotel room so spacious before! We breakfasted on their terrace every morning.
We ate at the hotel restaurant the first 2 nights, where they had a good choice of wines and a rustic menu with locally sourced ingredients and quality meat. We especially loved the Mugello potato raviolis. On Monday nights the restaurant is closed, but the receptionist gave us a local restaurant recommendation, a place in the next village which we walked to in the cool evening (it took us about 25 mins each way, it would only be 10 mins by car). We would definitely return as this hotel offers just what we love about Tuscany - peace, quiet, and great food!

We stayed for a week at Il Trebbiolo. We had been there a few years ago for dinner, and returned for a week's stay to participate in a nearby wedding. Well, the food is still delicious and reasonably priced. The villa itself has some very positive and rather negative aspects. We stayed in the best room (Oliva) in the main house. It was actually a suite. The "living room" had a fold away couch so the room could hold a family of 4. Our bedroom looked out over the valley--a beuatiful view. However, we were right over the dining terrace, so there was some noise, and the children playing at the pool were definitely noisy even though the pool is not immediately adjacent to the main building. Still, I would suggest a room facing the valley. Rooms facing the other direction have no view except for nearby trees.

The bathroom was simple but adequate. The furnishings also simple but adequate--a bit shabby. The pool is wonderful! But otherwise, this is a no frills place. There is no one to help you with your baggage, so you need to schlepp it from your car to your room, which might involve one or two flights of steps. The owners are kind but speak English sparingly, and their directions were almost consistently problematic. (Incidentally--this place is nearly impossible to find, and don't count on your GPS!).

Breakfast consisted of a buffet--all cold. Again, adequate, but not more. The cakes on the buffet were plentiful but not very good. The coffee was okay (how many times can I use the word adequate?).

Dinners remain the best feature. The food is not fancy but delicious and fairly priced. The dining terrace overlooks the valley and very pleasant.

This is probably a good choice for families. Not fancy. Great pool. Reasonably priced.

Would I go back? Probably not. I would bet there are better places nearby.

Fiesole - Olmo
Hello and many thanks for your interest! We are just 7 kmts from Fiesole, and 13 from Florence, at about 450 mt above sea level, not really up in the mountains! We are in the countryside, but close to the city and the drive to the hotel is uphill but it's easy. I hope you will come and visit us soon! Il Trebbiolo
