Detailed Reviews
For one night at approx EUR300 this is quite expensive for the standard of room however you are paying for the convenience of the location being so close to the airport.
Check in and out went smoothly, staff spoke good english.
Room was clean but a little dated with no plug sockets of any kind next to the bed so you can't charge your phones by your bed. Odd.
There is a bus stop outside that you can take a direct bus to Venice, 30mins ride, can pay with a credit card. Very convenient. Last bus back from Venice was around 2300hrs so was handy not to have to deal with taxis.
If we are in the area again with another early departure flight we would consider staying here again.

Since Venice is a difficult city to get around in we decided to stay at this hotel the night before our 6am flight and I'm so glad we did.
During the winter they don't run a shuttle but there is a line of taxis ready to pick you up after you walk out of baggage claim. Yes.. the hotel is only a 15 minute walk from the airport but I wouldn't recommend walking especially at night since there is a lot of traffic on the road and it's dark.
The taxi is a $20 set fare even though it's only a 5 minute ride. You are paying for the convenience which was fine with us.
When we checked in we got the most friendly and helpful greeting from ABDUL!
He was so welcoming and arranged for our taxi to come the next morning at 4am.
He was great!
The room was very comfortable and clean.
We went down to the lobby a few minutes before 4am and our taxi came right on time. For that time of the night (4am) it was double the fare but if there is another traveler in the lobby taking the taxi at the same time you can share it with them and pay half.
You have to pay cash to the driver.
We were very happy with our stay. Just be aware that it's not a regular USA style airport hotel. There is no complimentary shuttle during the winter to and from the airport.
Even though the taxi's cost money it's way cheaper then taking a water taxi from Venice which I think can run close to $200.
We took the Alliguna airport boat from St Marks Square for $15 pp and then the taxi for $20. It worked very well.

Dear sleep7, Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review of your stay with us! We’re delighted to hear that you found our hotel to be a convenient choice before your early flight and that Abdul provided you with such a warm and helpful welcome—he will be thrilled to receive your kind words. We appreciate your insights regarding transportation options to and from the airport. While our shuttle service is not available during the winter months, we’re glad to hear that the taxi arrangement worked smoothly for you. Your tips will surely be helpful for future travelers! It’s wonderful to know that you found your room comfortable and clean and that everything went seamlessly for your early morning departure. We truly appreciate your understanding of the differences between European airport hotels and those in the U.S., and we’re happy that you found value in staying with us. Small but perfectly adequate and clean rooms. Breakfast was also very extensive. The only drawback: not enough space or tables at breakfast. Central location - right next to the parking garage - you can also get to the center very quickly on foot.

We stayed the night of June 27th before a flight the next morning. The hotel seemed relatively clean and fine for our purposes; however, when I got home, I found that they charged my credit card an extra $60.29. When I inquired, I was told that I was charged the normal city tax, a fee for the shuttle and $20/person for breakfast.
When we checked in, the receptionist asked if we wanted to use the shuttle, but did not mention anything about a fee. I would have paid that anyway, but I'm very frustrated about the breakfast. I asked what time breakfast was served the night before as we had an early flight. I was told 6:00am, but there was no mention of a fee. When we sat down in the breakfast area, we were not asked our room number and the hostess didn't mention anything about a fee. She did take our coffee order. The breakfast was extensive, but I only grabbed a yogurt. My sister had a small plate with some pastries and yogurt. Had I known that there was a $20 charge, I would have steered clear. The hotel claims that there is a notice posted in the elevator and at the entrance. We saw nothing... I'm very disappointed that they refused to remove or discount this charge. $20 is ridiculous for a yogurt and cup of coffee in any circumstances.

Response from Front Office VCECY, General Manager at Courtyard Venice Airport
Responded 13 July 2024
Dear LakeHighlandsMom, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We sincerely apologize for the frustration you experienced with the charges on your credit card. We want to assure you that the costs for the breakfast are also posted at the entrance of the breakfast room. However, we understand that we may have failed to communicate these charges effectively at the time of your check-in and during breakfast. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused. Regarding the breakfast charge, we recognize that during high season, it is challenging to monitor individual consumption. Therefore, we have a standard charge for the breakfast buffet, which applies to all guests who choose to dine, regardless of the amount consumed. We apologize if this policy was not made clear to you during your stay. We understand your disappointment and appreciate your feedback, which helps us improve our services and communication. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide you with a better experience. Best regards,

We stayed at this hotel for the night only because of its proximity to the airport, as we arrived late and with a child. We will never stay here again and do not recommend it to anyone. The price for one night is exorbitant for this hotel, and even breakfast is not included in the price, but in the elevator there is a piece of paper with a weather forecast for 3 days. The rooms are tired, artificially and crookedly created the appearance of an expensive hotel. The staff is polite, but has little effect on the overall rating. In my opinion, it is better and cheaper to order a taxi and go from the airport to another hotel, rather than pay for air and weather forecast.

Conveniently located, 5 mins from terminal, connected to Venice with a bus that runs every 20 mins and costs 1 EUR.
Comfortable, spacious rooms. All the hotel staff were very friendly and polite, among the best I recall. The restaurant offers venetian classics or just a pizza or burger, so if you want to stay away from the city mayhem it is more than fine. In the end, it is fairly priced by local standards and for the level of hospitality it offers. In sum, I recommend it strongly.

Stayed for business as we had an early flight out the following morning.
Pros
Within a 10 minute walk to the airport
Rooms are reasonably clean (better than I expected with the number of turns this hotel must do)
Helpful front desk
The restaurant is easy and on-site
Cons
Super touristy- be prepared.
Hotel shuttle could not accommodate a 4AM departure to airport so we used a private service for 30 Euros. The drive is literally two minutes but the walk with luggage would have been challenging (as there is an unpaved section of the walkway).
Prepare yourself that the food from the restaurant is mediocre at best
Use this hotel only if you have an early flight or if you have no interest in any sort of true Italian experience.

Dear "mlind2022", We appreciate the time you spent in writing a review for your recent stay at Courtyard Venice Airport. You brought to our attention that during your recent stay, we fell short of meeting your expectations while dining in our restaurant. Your experience has been shared with the Restaurant Manager who is going to take action to improve our service. We're very sorry to read that you consider our hotel not good for guests who are interested in any sort of true Italian experience. It is true that our hotel is near the airport and this is a good reason why our guests choose to stay with us but on the other hand it is extremely easy to reach Venice. There is a bus that in 20 minutes can take you into the city just for 3€ (round trip), and we are happy to offer to our guests the possibility to purchase the tickets at the front. Although we fell short of meeting your expectations, we hope you will consider our hotel on your next visit to the area. Kind regards, Andrea Z. Assistant General Manager

Unfortunately, out of necessity I had to return to this hotel. The terrible quality of service was confirmed. This time I even arrive (already a customer) and, strangely, they ask me for the credit card as a guarantee (it can fit). Reason? “It is used for any expenses”. I go to the room and there is nothing in the fridge. After a while I was charged €25.
Before leaving I ask for clarification and am told that the card was used for "any expenses". To which I stated that what the expenses should be since I wouldn't have been able to consume anything with the empty fridge. I ask if they assumed I would take the pillows away. They tell me “it's the policy”. I represent that the guarantee card is one thing, another is a "preventive" charge of €25. However, this behavior is shameful. Unfortunately, thanks to the fact that Venice is there, this operator will continue to have customers and will never improve.

My first clue was when I could not find the hotel shuttle and had to call the hotel and the woman that answered was very short and said “it in is the second lane”. It wasn’t. It showed up about 10 minutes later. We ran into another couple that mentioned they had the same experience. The shuttle driver was nice, but the woman at the front desk was very curt and acted like we bothering her. She gave us NO information regarding the room, breakfast, etc., other than where the room was. The room was very small. We found out the hard way that we had to slip our card in a slot to keep the lights on. The bed was soft and the pillows hard. The hotel restaurant had limited choices for lunch – none that appeared appetizing. We took the bus into Venice and had a wonderful lunch. They would not sell use bus tickets at the front desk and we had to walk a couple blocks down to a tobacco shop to get the tickets. We were tired and returned before dinner and were forced to eat at the hotel restaurant. Service was incredibly slow and we waited 50 minutes for our food. My wife’s lasagna was about a 4 out of 10 and my spaghetti carbonara was the worst I have ever eaten. Good thing I had a great lunch as I could eat less than half of my food. We hit bed early and were awakened to the strong smell of cigarette smoke at about 1:00am. The room was supposed to be a non-smoking room and both my wife and I were coughing from the smoke. The smell lasted until morning when we propped the door open to air out the room. We mentioned it to the front desk and the clerk said we could move, but we were in the process of final packing for our flight home and it would have been a major hassle to gather everything up. It also would have probably been useless as it appears they intersperse the non-smoking room among smoking rooms. We should have moved as we experienced the same smoke issue the next night. The included breakfast was pretty good other than needing a straw to eat the runny scrambled eggs. The 5€ airport shuttle cost 30€ prior to 5:00am so those with an early flight get screwed for a half mile ride. We will not be staying again.

Good hotel, great airport location. Staff very good, hotel clean. Near bus route to go into Venice which takes about 20 minutes. We had good outside parking for free.
Breakfast was ok, hot and cold dishes, and plenty for a full breakfast.
Dinner for us was not good at all. We usually book a hotel with a restaurant so we can relax the night before our flight, and enjoy. This was not the case. Restaurant itself much too small, it was full, to the point of being crowded, not what you want during these Covid times. There was only one waiter for more than 10 occupied tables, he worked very hard, but it is too much to ask of one waiter!
If we stay at the hotel again, we would look for alternate dining facilities in the community.
There is a large breakfast room next to the dining room, only used for breakfast, can it not be incorporated with the dining room, during busy times?
