We stayed at Split Apple Lodge for 3 nights in January 2016 and really loved it. The lodge is outstanding in every way - welcome, bedroom, breakfast, communal areas, views, friendliness of hosts... Paulette and Bert were also excellent at recommending places to visit. Abel Tasman National Park is also superb - don't miss it when visiting New Zealand. We...

Modern and well-maintained B&B, with a large communal dining and leisure area and surrounded by magnificent savannah-style gardens. Bert and Paulette were generous hosts and have created a unique residence for guests who wish to relax on their verandah with a cold beer and listen to the bird choruses.

We stayed with Paulette and Bert two nights while exploring the fabulous Abel Tasman National Park. The B and B was wonderful. In every way. Our hosts were very helpful directions, calling our kayak company, suggesting restaurants, etc. and what a view!! Highly recommend this place.

We were so happy to get here. The drive from Picton was longer and harder than we expected so it was such a relief to arrive. This place is beautiful and spacious and Bert and Paulette are great hosts. My husband loved talking with Bert and made lots of opportunity to do so. Breakfast was sumptuous and it was great...

Wonderful location with wonderful views. Immaculately clean, so much so that we removed our shoes before entry! (Obviously a new carpet) which we were more than happy to do! And so did the other guests as they arrived. Bert and Paulette are nice friendly people who are extremely helpful, as other reviewers have said you do to have a lot...

We were lucky to have some great weather on our two night stay and boy was it what we wanted. It's a bit of a drive to the nearest restaurant but if it's a little peace and isolation your after, then you won't be disappointed. Breakfast was healthy and fulfilling and Berts afternoon baking went well with their great unlimited...

Very nice lodge if you are visiting the Abel Tasman area. It is quite remote and there are not many dining options close by but Paulette and Bert provide very helpful advice to navigate dining and sight seeing in the area. The hosts also serve a nice breakfast. The rooms are a bit quirky and not as functional as I...

We had 3 nights at Split Apple Lodge over Easter. The lodge itself is in a physically amazing location on the top of a ridge with great sea views on one side and mountain views on the other. The lodge has a lovely big lounge with TV and good selection of DVDs. Another set of couches in the sun. The...
