Room very basic and very white - no pictures. Strange office ceiling tiles. Basin in room. Shared toilet and shower. Very steep and narrow steps up to room. But room was comfortable and in a quiet area. The bar below is lovely. Staff are friendly.

My review is for the restaurant alone. Menu is in Dutch only, but one of the waitresses speaks EN. With a bit of effort you can understand the menu however. Best deal you'll get is for the burgers with fries - around 16 EUR. The New Mexico burger is really not that spicy, although presented to contain jalapenos and paprika.But...

This is not luxury, but it is a clean, friendly and efficient hotel in Bakkum and close to the charming town of Castricum. The hotel is convenient for the delightful dunes and the wide sandy beach. There is free secure parking at the rear of the hotel, albeit quite tricky to find. A good value for money hotel.

This hotel is a nice family hotel in the centre of Bakkum. It is close to the beach and just 30 minutes drive from Amsterdam. The staff is nice and friendly. You can eat in the restaurant or drink a beer in the cafe.
