I regularly visit the Inn At Whitewell for both business and pleasure. I cannot recommend the place enough, a perfect setting with incredible views, the most friendly and professional staff and the food and rooms there are consistently first class. I usually opt for the fish pie which without doubt is the best around, although whatever I have eaten there...

This is hands-down the best inn one could find anywhere in the UK. Delightful surroundings, well-appointed, beautifully furnished bedrooms (more comfortable than many 5-star hotels), remarkable bathrooms (with probably the greatest single concentration of restored Victorian plumbing contraptions anywhere in the world) great food (& not just the fish pie, which is world-famous!), terrific staff & very comfortable public areas....

We stayed here recently for a wedding and on the whole it was certainly worth doing so. The views and setting are spectacular, the look and feel of the place are suitably matched and the outside spaces were perfect for the days occasion. But they're all qualities this hotel hides behind to mask things less impressive. The bar and food...

For of us were seated in a small dinning area overlooking the river - ideal position as our guests were 1st time visitors to the Inn and the area. The meal was excellent - beautifully cooked and presented - portions very generous - the fish pie - the best tasted - fish and chips excellent. BUT the whole visit was...

Thank you for your review, pleased you had a good lunch with your friends and so sorry we were a bit stretched when you came. We don't have a person waiting to meet and greet as it's not really very puby. But definitely we should be pleased to see anyone who's made the effort to come and see us out...

Met friends here after a 1.30 hrs journey. Meet and greet non existent. Bar man looked miserable and as if he didn't really want to serve us. Had to go searching for menus then go searching for a member of staff to take our order and to clear the plates and order our pudding . A place with this reputation...

This was my first visit to the Inn at Whitewell and I was not disappointed. Being fairly local it is somewhere I have heard a lot about (always good) and it lived up to expectations. From arrival to when we left the staff were friendly and helpful. We had booked three rooms all of which were well cleaned and nicely...

Simply some of the best pub food we have ever had. Simple dishes well prepared and very tasty, an excellent selection of wines, friendly and welcoming and in a spectacular location. I note excellent broadsheet newspapers and interesting auction catalogues to browse. And all of this very reasonably priced.

Stayed one night back in July and immediately wished it had been more. Wow, what a location; so peaceful. Our room was extremely comfortable and overlooked the river. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. We will definitely try to stay here again.

We have stayed many times at the Inn at Whitewell with our dogs, and have always had a great time. The rooms are beautifully furnished and very comfortable (particularly the beds which are wonderful). We have often stayed in the separate coach house, as the rooms here have access to a small garden, which is ideal for dogs. The food...

We have visited inn at Whitewell 100s of times, just felt after today it's time we wrote a note to say what a pleasant place it is. Well managed, friendly, professional service, and the best cream tea we've found in a lot of travelling. We love the atmosphere of the place, in winter real fires,in summer watching the shadows lengthen...
