The actual building is amazing being part of an old monastery. Everything about it is spectacular. It compares to a lot of Spain's Paradors, the building, not the overall ambience. Bedroom was comfortable, view outside to courtyard and ruins was certainly different. Parking was provided free beside entrance, would not however hold too many cars. Easy hotel to find as... More

Glad to have stayed here one night ..if only to experience the beautiful peaceful building, part of the Monastery, and its' fabulous mountain views ( Tip...ask for a mountain view room) Points for include: very easy to find with free car park just outside; truly lovely building; gorgeous internal courtyards, a relaxing oasis; large bedroom and en suite. That said,... More

Guadalupe was a convenient stop on our trip but nothing much to recommend the town beyond the dubious Marian shrine. Surrounding countryside is wonderful though. The hotel has a marvellous building with a stunning inner courtyard, open to the skies, where you can sit and relax. Bedrooms are simple and basic but clean. The service was puzzling and poor. Reception... More

What a wonderful place to stay, this former monastary. We relaxed immediately, as soon as we set foot in the central courtyard. Big, comfortable rooms - with original old furniture - and a good restaurant with modest, but ever so friendly staff. People speak no English here, but that doesn't matter. Hands and feet will get you far enough.

This is an amazing place with the hotel in a converted but unspoilt part of this huge Monastery. The rooms are big and the bathrooms are to a high standard with modern fittings etc. The bedroom ceilings are miles high so that in cold weather, which it was, they are a bit chilly. There is a good restaurant which serves... More

My friend and I spent one night in this amazing hotel. It was late December and a bit wet and windy but the hotel was friendly and warm. There is parking immediately outside the hotel and the restaurant was quite good. The building as you would expect from the royal suite of a monastery was stunning with a beautiful central... More

Well worth an overnight stop to appreciate this lovely building. Bedroom perfectly adequate. Reception staff very slow to respond, not particularly welcoming. Wifi only in the bar. Breakfast fine but had lovely evening meal in local restaurant at half hotel price.

Wonderful place to stay. In the former guests quarters. High ceilings, AC and yes the Wifi works without problem. Breakfast was a standard fare buffet, but more than adequate. Definitely take the tour of the monastery when you are here, which at €5 is good value. BIG TIP they have some family rooms but they are not sold via Booking.com.... More

This magnificent historical building has been adapted to provide characterful and comfortable accommodation. The setting is wonderful, it is peaceful and serene, and the adaptation loses nothing in terms of a sense of history. The courtyard and open corridors are superb, and it is all done efficiently but with a minimum of fuss. We had an impressive and good value... More

Adjoining the Real Monasterio itself, in days gone by it would have hosted the cloister's guests as well as its monks. Wonderfully tall ceilings ensure cool days in the height of summer... and that's just talking about the corridors: the spacious guest rooms are augmented by air conditioning. The staff are unobtrusive but always available to assist. Everything is spotless... More
