If you want to wait on a dock for 3 hours, next to raw garbage and a smelly fish stand by all means do this kayak trip. Up until this point the trip was great, really fun kayaking on Rapids and a nice trek to a small waterfall. we had an amazing tour guide who was very charismatic. Breakfast which...

We wanted to book a half day kayak trip and Mr Mo and his employee Tek were really friendly and explained everything to us. At the end we booked the full day kayak tour as more things were included in the price. We stayed here 5 nights. We chose this one only because they had rooms with Air conditioning. We paid 120 000 kip/night. The rooms are nothing stunning but it does the trick. The bed is OK with a mosquito net. There's a private bathroom with good shower, but it could use a little paint to look nicer. The Wi-Fi worked...

We stayed here because the rooms have air condition. Rooms itself are spotless and could be cleaner. A few rooms have also river view. It's very close to the arrival pier and many restaurants. The guesthouse has its own restaurant and also rents out bicycles and kayaks. Breakfast is nice, but the quality of dinner was low.

10 Dollar for fan room with bath. Rats enter the bathroom at night (due to bad or not existing plumbing), thus keep your bathroom shut, if you don't want them in your bed. No mosquito net, no mosquito screens or glass windows, but asbestos blocking away the light. All you get for 10 $ is a bed with an old...

This is purely a review for the trip we booked from don det to Siem reap! After being offered a smooth boarder transfer, quick processing of visa, and a direct bus to Siem reap and also the assurance of being dropped in the centre when we got there at 7pm NONE of this transpired!!!!! We got an over full mini...

80,000 kip for basic room with a powerful fan. Not a bad room and served a purpose for a few days. Zero atmosphere though. Hot water is amazing. The manager is very chatty but is a bit dishonest about buses (see below). Every other person who works there is incredibly rude and that really lets the place down. Don't eat...

I haven't planned to visit 4000 island in my trip in the beginning, since it's a way through the other cities in Laos, plus I met some pals on the way from siem reap to DonDet, I decided to have a quick visit for here, then I traveled with a German group by the time, we booked the full-day kayaking...

my friend and I did not stay at the guesthouse, however, I have nothing but total respect for Lek/Mr. Mo. Whilst booking an open ticket to Don Det on the boarder of Cambodia we messed up big time and this guy right here picked up the pieces. we decided to book over 30hrs of transport through a sketchy company.. $240...

“only two room have river view”

“Scarily, we may well have had the best room (first floor, river facing, furthest from the stairs) as the view was great and I can't see how any other would have the same. But you might want to check a selection in case there are rooms with two plug sockets and a properly plumbed sink.”
