When we arrived at mama leuah it was a bit like coming home. Everything was clean and the food (local and western - you should try the cordon bleu) was the best we got in 1 month travelling across laos. Lutz, who is running everything, is such a nice guy. Felt like talking with an old friend..

By far the best place we stayed. The guest house is run by a German man and his Wife (Mr.Luts and Mrs.Peng) The menu is impressive and mama Leuah special Schnitzel is highly recommended and the Swiss Rosti for breakfast. Mr.Luts makes this special drinks - Lao Lao and will bring a shot to you when you dine there!

On arrival in the guesthouse we were welcomed and greeted in a very nice way by Pheng and her husband Lutz. The room was simple but clean and absolutely fine. It was clean, a comfortable bed and a fan. Bathroom with western style toilet, sink, mirror and a shower (cold water, but that’s fine for us as well). Very nice... More

What a view... * Restaurant * Sooo good! If I could recommand anything, I would say: book a few more nights and just try it all! (We ate... More

The bungalows are very basic, which is totally fine. Everything is working. You just shouldn't be afraid of having a bathroom frog. He is really cute, though. You get two hammocks, which you don't get everywhere! A big plus. Great spending your time with hanging around, views on the Mekong. The only thing we didn't like was there was no... More

Lutz help to plan our trip, great food and service good value also. Room with fan and a proper toilet ! If you don't need AC you should come for sure. Great views. Loved seeing the water buffalo in the morning having a swim. No mosquitos but being by the river you get lots of insects near the light.

As many here we also wanted to stay for 2 or 3 days, stayed for 6 nights finally. The place is perfect for a chill time away from the busy side of the island. You get a clean, wooden bungalow with two hammocks on the river-side veranda, so no arguing who gets the hammock ;) Lutz and his family are... More
