This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel and again we were not disappointed. It is only classed as 3* and to some extent that is what it is. But whist the rooms at are a bit small it does not portray what this hotel has to offer. The rooms are extremely comfortable, well kept and clean....

La Grand Chalet is a nice little family hotel on the beach. Actually, it's the only hotel really on the beach for 100's of km on the Atlantic coast of France. The hotel has a limited amout of rooms and taking a superior room with sea view is a must. If you are on the first floor, make sure that...

We arrived a few days before they went into hibernation for Winter and, unless other guests were totally reclusive, we were the only couple staying! Having initially been given a room which turned out to be uncleaned with towels and bedding all over the floor, we were instantly upgraded (at the same price) to the top room. Great views over...

We took our third stay at the Grand Chalet recently. The best things about the hotel are the location right on the beach and the friendly welcome - also a great breakfast with REAL COFFEE (not from a machine) and boiled eggs as well as everything else you'd expect. Our room had been recently decorated so not shabby at all,...

We spent two nights here, the hotel is clean and well kept with a lovely clean pool, plenty of seating around it. Rooms of a good size with en suite. We have travelled in France three times every year for the last ten years and without doubt the best breakfast I have ever had in France. Very nice little resort,...

The location is excellent. There are many good restaurants within walking distance if you prefer a change. We eat in a different one every evening for the week's stay without having to eat at the same place twice. A quiet peacefull resort and hotel.

The hotel is stuck in a 1970's time warp. The rooms were musty and the carpet dirty. Horrific macerating toilet, almost as aweful was the flowery bed linen. Will not be going back!! The only positive was the fact that it was on the beach and had nice views, if you had a sea view room. The photos on the...

Few teething problems on arrival but was sorted out very quickly. Rooms of decent size considering extra bed in the room. Hotel was full at the time but did not seem like it as was quiet in the evenings. Breaksfast is continental but substantial. For a 2 star property , not bad at all, service good. Restaurant very popular with...
