I was at a meeting in San Sebastian, Spain, and decided to fulfill a longstanding dream to visit the Victoria Mine in Navajun, Spain, the only place in the world where the perfect shaped cubed pyrite crystals are mined. I needed a stay and found Las Abadias in San Felices, about 30-40 min by car from Navajun (there are really...

This is a heavenly place of Rest and Relaxation. Beautifully furnished and immaculately cared for restoration of historical stone buildings. Virginia is a lovely hostess and fine Quality Chef. Her cuisine is fresh and local and so well prepared. Portions are generous and the menu changes daily.

Just enjoyed a wonderful weekend staying at Las Abadias in San Felices. Wonderful caring hosts who did everything to ensure you throughly enjoyed your stay. The rooms were spacious and clean and unusually, but very much appreciated had adapter sockets in the plugs (ideal for children with multiple devices to charge!). We enjoyed drinks outside which is just 20metres from...

Niched on a Hillside on the Frontier of Castilla, Navarra and Aragon, the viewpoints are breathtaking and the region Lovely. The sole road that leads to the town of 35 inhabitants can barely squeezed 1.5 cars in width. We were very well received by this lovely couple who did a charming job at fixing one of the old buildings of...

We stayed here again and arrived to find the hotel very busy with a local festival. The restaurant and bar were full but Virginia, the owner still found time for us. Room as ever, clean, warm bathroom and scenic views over the hills. The breakfast included homemade preserves and for our evening meal the mushroom soup was delicious, as it...

This converted small hotel is off the beaten track but worth the drive into the hills. A small pretty village. Retaining many original features yet modern bathrooms and spotlessly clean rooms. Traditional breakfast and set dinner are served by the friendly owner. The surrounding area is perfect for walking and sightseeing, all information readily available. The resident dog, greeted ours...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
If you are seeking to enjoy a few days in an amazing place, with all mod cons within easy reach, please do not hesitate to visit us.We opened in November 2012 and we wanted to keep the typical lime plastered stone village style; but with all modern conveniences: heating/cooling and geothermal hot water in the bathroom as well as LED light bulbs (for smart consumption), Internet with Wi-Fi in public areas, spacious bedrooms (17 to 22 sq.m) with private bathroom and satellite television, fireplace, bar/restaurant, spa (sauna, Hamam, whirlpool, cold shower and diffuser), children area with games, books, DVD, Wii, and of course, a terrace/solarium on the roof to enjoy good weather. Everything is decorated with antiques, forging and rustic furniture. Our location (borderlands) allows you to visit La Rioja, Navarra, and of course, Soria. We are just 55 km from the capital city of Soria, 30 km from Moncayo Nature Park, 8 km from Contrebia Leukade (last bastion of the Celtiberians), 20 km from Fitero Monastery, and 60 km from Tudela... you will be surrounded by history, you will have plenty of things to see, and a lot of good food and wine to taste.San Felices is a town nestled in the heights of the rock (limestone) with a past associated with Castellar (an ancient Celtic settlement), the salt mine, cereal crops, orchards and vegetable gardens, which led them to raise an abbey linked to the Fitero Monastery.Come and visit us, and you will not regret it. ... more   less
