If you're looking for an authentic Alsace hotel, with good food, great location and a lovely host look no further! We had the pleasure of staying here for three nights over an extended weekend at the beginning of October. Pre-booking confirmation directly with the hotel was assured after a short telephone call. Next to French, the owner and host Anne...

The atmosfhere is typical french and very cosy. The owners and staff are very kind, friendly and helpsom. There is a little pool, which the children loved, often we had it all by our self. Every evening there is served a three course menu, made of organic, local food. It tasted fantastic.

Villa Rosa is a lovely place to be, with a great and warm hospitality from Anne and her husband. As vegetarians we enjoyed an excellent dinner. Moreover the garden, the swimmingpool and the view on the Vosges are splendid; perhaps sometimes a bit noisy because of the road but this is just a minor detail. Overall a most lovely stay.

This homey hotel is perched above the valley with wonderful views and within a short distance of hiking trails. The hotel itself is very unusual in that there are a labyrinth of stairs and passageways with a variety of decor but tied together by the early 20th century French country home feel of the entire place. Our room on the...

Here is what I call perfect hosting in a wonderful relaxing environment. From the minute we arrived we knew Villa Rosa would be wonderful but we did not fully anticipate the level of wonderfulness!! Anne-Rose and her staff are so friendly and helpful and make you feel like you are visiting family. The breakfasts are typical French but with the...

We learned about Villa Rosa from The Times ’50 Best Holidays in France’ (it was No 32), and the qualities mentioned there were evident during our stay. The heady scent of a profusion of flowers in the garden welcomed us, our room was large, the hydra-headed shower complex but effective and the bed very comfortable. Anne-Rose took care to establish...

If you are looking for a place that looks old, like staying at grandma's countryside house old, then this is the perfect place for you. All areas look quite chaotic, rooms are "renovated", but they should have done a better job with the bathroom. Our bathroom had some mold in between the tiles, the water in the shower would just...

1. Children unfriendly atmosphere. (okay, maybe next time when the kids are grown?) 2. No fire alarms/smoke detectors. (maybe bring one yourself?) 3. Hallway to room clogged with old newspapers. (hoarders? fire hazard - yikes!) 4. DOORS LOCKED FROM INSIDE AT NIGHT. NO WAY OUT. 5. Booked 2 night stay. Boogied after 1. 6. We only stay at B&B's so...

Villa Rosa is a bit of a strange place. On arriving you think: 'what a bric-a-brac is this?' but it doesn't take very long to be swept up in the whole ambiance. We had a big room at first with 4 beds (for two people) and a huge shower. It was clean and the bed was good - but the...

This hotel is like several others in France where we have stayed since 1980 - a perfect country home that works well as a base hotel while traveling in the Alsace region. The rooms are spacious, filled with folk art and historical photos, clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. Breakfasts and dinner featured the good food of Alsace and were always...
