This is an old property which, in typical Swiss tradition, has been well maintained. However, rooms are dark and beds are very dated. The bathrooms have been modernised. Rooms not facing the lake, are noisy (parking area, and street). Reception is very friendly and multilingual. Upon arrival, my room had major ceiling leaks and the reception moved me to an...

We stayed here on 16th May for one night. The hotel is very traditional, with old decor and plenty of character. It was clean and the bed was comfy. Continental breakfast was delicious. I would stay here again. Free internet but hotspot was weak in our room. my only concern was the fact that we left the hotel for a...

We travelled to visit family with small children and needed a self-catering base near Lucerne. This place was ideal. Our apartment was huge with everything you could need. There's a nice little pool (bit on cool side for babies) and grounds, with a small play area at the cafe located nextdoor. The kids loved paddling at the little beach and...

This hotel was awesome! The hotel was like being in a storybook , it was very enchanting. We had dinner at the restaurant across the street (also the same company). Was excellent dinner but slightly overpriced! The service was perfect and some of the best we have ever had if not the best ever! We highly highly recommend this hotel...

This hotel was AWESOME! We arrived late and the staff were so happy, nice , and welcoming . Especially the two gals working the front desk that evening. They made sure that we had everything that our family needed. The hotel itself was like being in a storybook , it was very enchanting. The pool was warm :) We had...

We have just returned from our holiday in Switzerland. We stayed at the Swiss Chalet for one night whilst on our way to Interlarken. I have booked a double room with a shared bathroom however upon checking in we were given our own bathroom which would have cost an additional £30 which was a great start. I had expected a...

I have recently stayed at this hotel with my husband or our one week stay in Switzerland. The hotel is only a 5 minute walk from the train station of Merlischachen. We had our room upgraded and this was wonderful. The rooms are very clean and breakfast was great with a good choice of cereals, bread, ham and cheese, jams,...

We had booked this hotel outside of Lucerne because of the exorbitant hotel rates in Lucerne during the time we traveled. We had booked a standard room in the Chalet, the building where the restaurant is located. Upon check-in, the desk clerk informed us that both couples had been upgraded to the Schloss Hotel. We were paying 139 CHF, and...

This is a very wonderful place. Seems like every room and every corridor has something unique. We had a budget room above the restaurant with a shared toilet and small shower room, but we knew that at time of booking so no complaints there. Spectacular views (umfortunately not from our room) of lake lucerne and mt Rigi. We had full...

Booked our stay for 1 night while visting Luzern. Property is not actually in Luzern and a bit hard to find, but on the lake (sort of). The grounds are very nice, parking is provided, and a foot path will take you to the edge of the lake. The lake is gorgeous and the scenery is terrific. The hotel is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Typically Swiss The quaint Swiss-Chalet Bed & Breakfast, a wooden house built in the 17th century in a typical Swiss farmhouse style, offers a special atmosphere. Low ceilings, a lot of wood and creaky beams are an experience which you otherwise find in the lofty heights of the mountains. We offer you free parking spaces at the large parking area on the opposite side of the street. Both restaurant and bar are located in the same building. There we serve as well the breakfast from 06.00 – 10.00 o’clock. Check-in & Check out will be in the Schloss-Hotel. ... more   less
