The Hotel is located in the centre of the triangle formed by the ancient cities of Caceres, Plasencia and Trujillo, at the very doors of the National Park of Monfrague. The hotel is a new building, refurbished in 2015 and built with traditional materials like wood, slate and concrete. In the interior, there are pictures of Extremenan artists such as Vostell or Canelo, as well as furniture and carpets from high-valued artists like Mariscal, Le Corbusier or Moragas.

This is the only purpose built inn of the chain of Hospederias de Extremadura. It is built of local stone and the rooms have a 'modern' vibe. Great service in the restaurant and bar and the usual top quality Hospederia breakfast. This makes an ideal base for visiting the park.

We stopped here in our drive to Andalusia. The location in the national park is stunning and the modern design impressive. But - the hotel is absolutely huge to cater for bus loads of tourists and big family groups, and very impersonal. The food was below average for the price

The architecture of this hotel is very interesting, for us it was a break from the historic Paradors that we'd being staying at. It's recently refurbished, it uses traditional materials such as slate, concrete and wood which gives it a very modern feel whilst fitting in well
