This hotel appears to be from another age. Very old fashioned and traditional but I'm afraid in a way that didn't offer great value. From the embroidered table mats to the duvet-less beds it reeked of Ireland of yesteryear. The staff were pleasant with hard worker immigrant service. Hotels that do not offer wi fi shouldn't advertise that they do....

Kathleen runs a truly beautiful hotel and restaurant. The hotel itself is full of antiques which I could have spent the evening looking at. Mary looked after us in the restaurant and really couldn't have done anymore for us. The food was clearly high quality and cooked to perfection! I would highly recommend anybody in the area to go in...

My wife and I decided to visit Ireland after our daughter's wedding, and our daughter and new husband treated us to a dinner at Seaview House. The hotel has old-world charm and the restaurant, if dated, has that same charm. The grounds of the hotel are wooded, and located just off Bantry Bay. Service was attentive, but subdued, and the...

Now don't get me wrong, the Seaview House is not a bad hotel but, on our recent trip to Ireland, we stayed in three hotels and the Seaview House was both the most expensive and least satisfactory of the three. But let's start with the positives. The breakfasts were some of the most varied and well-prepared of any hotel at...

This hotel was a revelation. It is owned and managed by a marvellous person who makes sure that her guests are comfortable and well cared for. The staff are caring and friendly and a hot water bottle was even provided for my elderly mother at night. We were thoughtfully placed next door to my Mother on the ground floor. Our...

We recently stayed in this hotel and we brought my mother in law!(MIL) We booked a suite for us and a room for her. When we checked in my MIL was upgraded. The whole experience from check in to check out was extremely pleasant . The staff are very friendly and a special mention to Mary who looked after us...

The hotel has lovely grounds. There are lots of antiques, comfortable chairs, and the atmosphere of a country house with a gracious, welcoming owner. Breakfast was very good. Dinner, however, was not. We were traveling with my daughter and had two rooms. Both rooms were pretty. Ours was adequate although the bathroom was very small and the room, hot. My...

Stayed here the first night of a Backroads cycling trip. Rooms were small but clean and charming. The owner has clearly put here heart and life into this hotel. That said, small improvements would go a long way. The doors were comically loud. A little silicone on the hinges and stoppers to keep them from slamming would avoid waking up...

The overall feel is nice but the facilities are a bit worn out. The wifi in the back rooms doesn't work, the doors are creaky and the water pipes are loud. Food is quite bland. However the landscaped garden is beautiful and service is friendly.

Our first stop in Ireland wasn't disappointing - we had a nice double room with a good sized bathroom. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Only strange thing about this room was this intermittent noise that kept kicking on all day and night - sounded like an elevator or a pump or something. Very nice bar here with lots of comfortable...
