When I arrived at the hotel the receptionist was on the phone and made no attempt to shorten the call. I had to wait a while before getting the room key. The room was ok. It I generally got an impression that the hotel is a bit tired and run down. The next morning when we checked out there was... More

Served the purpose perfectly - clean, very comfortable beds, good shower and good value breakfast although a better quality sausage would have been appreciated. The noise from the busy Otley Road would be a problem for some

More attention needs to be paid to finer details such as ensuring there is enough toilet roll, tea and coffee supplies, clean teaspoons in room, under the bed cleaned and the shower plughole cleaned to ensure the water drains away. No problems with service and good restaurants and pubs nearby.

The hotel is in a good location. Its a nice area and only a short walk to various restaurants but also quite close to the centre of the city. The hotel itself is a bit tired. I had a single room which was clean but the furnishings felt slightly 1950s, the tv remote didn't work and I had to prop... More

Stayed at the ascot grange last night. I will start with the room furnishings which were dated and dull. Although the shower functioned well, when I first arrived at approximately 3pm in the afternoon I had a cold shower as the hot water wasn't working (although the water was hot in the morning) later on at night, trying to watch... Well situated hotel, friendly staff. A few cobwebs in room, shame because bathroom spotless. As daughter now at Leeds University we would use hotel again. Did not have breakfast in hotel as prior engagement.

Basic hotel but ideal for Weetwood Playing Fields. This is an ok hotel for a short overnight stay, Did find the dinner menu online was cheaper than it actually is when you are there, but still a reasonable rate for what it was. Is deserving of its two star rating given by AA. Opposite a garage with shop, again ideal... More

The hotel staff is friendly and the room was reasonably clean and nice. Breakfast was quite good. The bathroom was great. The walls, however, are very thin and it was a bit noisy when guests came up the stairs.

“Two single rooms booked, stayed two weekends back to back. First weekend not very nice rooms down in basement area, dark, dingy and very noisy above all night, no sleep. Asked for different rooms for second stay, which were given and better all round, again basic but ok for one night stay, only woken by rude noisy people arriving at their rooms after midnight and waking us up, but that's rude people for you. ”
