We wanted to visit resorts world (again) and fancied making a night of it. Got a great rate (available on both the hotel site and on booking.com). Breakfast was additional at ten quid each. Free parking is great too...all the other NEC and airport hotels seem to charge extra. And free Wi-Fi. We arrived late afternoon and went straight down...

My rating is based on our use of the hotel which was almost a perfect!!! I'm not sure I would use for a romantic break though as it needs updating!!! We had a family room which was clean but basic and dated. The rest of the hotel was similar. The positives however were friendly helpful staff. We had two young...

This is the worst hotel to stay in! Bar staff are unfriendly. They pay for your tab using the chip and pin device and when you ask them for a receipt to enable you to claim it back on business, they can't find it! The hotel itself is very dated and the rooms are below par for what you'd expect...

This hotel needs some serious love. Check in was smooth, allocated room 244 on second floor- lift available. Car parking was validated on arrival giving us free parking until 2pm on day of check out. We used the gym and leisure facilities- both treadmills out of order, cross trainers board was falling off exposing all wiring and machines haven't been...

Dear Laura N, Thank you for taking an opportunity to review us, and I am sorry to learn that we didn't give you the best experience during your stay with us. We were aware of the issues with the treadmills and cross trainers in the main gym, and I am pleased to say that both treadmills and cross trainers have...

Came here for a works training course, the conference room was literally in the basement, cobwebs everywhere, mouldy food on the floor and window sills. The décor was very tired and literally falling of the walls in places. I can only imagine the rooms are equally as bad as the whole hotel is very dirty, not maintained, and tired looking.

Dear Charlie F, Thank you for your review, albeit very shocking with your feedback. I have taken your comments on directly as a matter of urgency, and we are investigating your feedback directly at the hotel with my Events Operations manager. I can assure you this is not the usual feedback we receive from our meeting rooms. The majority of...

We were there for a 50th birthday party and we were very surprised how big it has become. Plenty of seats around the drinking areas and all very clean. We were in the Conservatory for lunch which was very good and served very quickly. This would make a wonderful hotel for visitors using Birmingham Airport which is just a short...

The best place to stay if you are in Birmingham for a Genting Arena event. Just about a ten minuete walk from the NEC, Birmingham International train station and the airport. Breakfast was a bit too greasy, even for a grease lover like my partner. The bar was awsome for drinking, yet the food was just decent. There is also...

Dear Mel D, Thank you for taking the time to review us. I am sorry to learn your feedback on your stay with us. I had done a days work in Glasgow before flying down to Birmingham for a conference the following day at the NEC, so i arrived pretty hungry but most of all, tired. Dear mrpaulj, Thank you for your feedback, and I appreciate your comments with regards to your stay with us. I appreciate some of the decor is not to everyone's tastes.
