My son and I popped in for some eats on a Sunday. Beautiful setting, great decor, friendly staff and a massive enclosed garden. We had the roasts which we ready really fast, not the best I've had and a little over done (my preference if rare roast),Tasty just the same. I've been here many times over the years and will...

Booked for evening meal couple days ago, and attended this evening. Quick G&T in the base ahead, then shown to our table. Rather than a starter, we went for the breads and balsamic ....bread was made on site and still warm when it arrived. Perfect. Ordered the sea bass , which came roasted veg. Simply cooked....exactly as it should be....

My wife and I stayed with other family members ( inc a dog ) for two nights bed & breakfast. Overall, our stay was good value for money - in particular the quality of the accomodation, food and service was impressive. Rooms were well furbished, very clean and comfortable. Only one gripe- shower pressures could be much better though, I...

I stayed at the Dolphin Inn on 22.8.16. What an enigma and very difficult to give an overall appraisal due to the extremes we experienced. I arrived with a colleague from the BBC at around 5.30pm. We were given our room keys on arrival and we asked if we could order some food. We were told that the food did...

This Pub is one of my favourites to visit within the UK. After visiting Thorpeness for many years, I really believe the atmosphere, as any good pub should have, is truly very warm and friendly. Its location is fantastic, within a village that really embodies the British Seaside. The Staff were very welcoming and I thoroughly enjoyed the food, an...

My family and I ate here yesterday. The moment we walked in we felt welcome. The barman helped me carry out my drinks, which was very helpful. The food was fantastic, I had the crab salad which was just delightful. We all would happily visit again!

Met with friends who were walking the coastal path. Execellent stop off with good food and nice sitting out area under cover, mexcellent on a hot day (as it was). Good food offering my friends chicken noodles were particularly tasty and innovative, will be going for that next time. Friendly service, all in all a good experience.

A favorite location of ours, always a great atmosphere around the Dolphin in thorpeness and Aldeburgh. Rooms are very clean and look like new,Food served all day, great choice along with good beer and wines. Small general store next door where any daily paper other than the Times or the Daily mail needs to be ordered the night before to...

Went with the family for lunch (about 12pm) with a 4 and 1 year old. Sat outside where there was lots of seating and available high chairs. You order at a hatch and get a little thing that bleeps to tell you you're foods ready which you collect yourself. Table service is available inside. Drinks are bought inside too which...
