We live locally but this is only our second visit (note to self, remember to go more often!). We took my sister and brother in law for dinner and were not disappointed. Food was very good and the service excellent. Would definitely recommend and we will be going back soon.

These guys are seriously good. Friendly and helpful staff, outstanding food at a reasonable price in the restaurant. The room was large and had a super king bed and good sized bathroom. All round an excellent experience, would come back.

We booked a 3-night break at the Dolphin as we were going to a wedding nearby and planned to make the most of the bank holiday. Thorpeness is a very picturesque little place and the Dolphin is lovely, a mix of rustic and modern, very nicely decorated and lovely staff. The room we had (room 1) was very attractive but...

The Dolphin Inn is a nice pub in the idyllic village of Thorpeness. It has a nice bar with a large range of drinks and food is available. The staff when we checked in were very good and let us into our room early. The room was a small double with a chest of drawers, TV, comfortable bed, good, free...

We stayed for a few days a Easter and fortunately picked the good weather. The pub is excellent, very clean and we'll decorated, very cosy. The staff are very helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble (I know it's a cliché, but true). The menu is varied and food is stunning. The room we had was a good...

We are regular visitors to the Dolphin. We had booked a table for 8 for a family lunch. We were squashed into a corner at the back of the bar. Unless I got up to tell barman that we were ready to order/ready to clear we were ignored. I realise that there was building work being completed at main end...

There was a sign outside the pub saying open at 11. There were signs of life inside at just gone the hour. A phone call to the inhabitants revealed they were having a meeting as they expected to be busy. At 11.10 the doors were opened and one of our party of four placed the order with the landlord to...

Please accept my sincere apologies regarding this issue. This was a very busy weekend for us stating from good Friday with our Annual Beach Clean, all volunteers, near enough 200 this year - we bribe them with free food and drink to clean the beach, very successful and worthwhile. On the Sunday we had our free Annual Easter Egg Hunt...

We all had a lovely meal here, plenty of choice and the food was served swiftly. The young team of waiters/waitresses were a real credit to the manager and looked after us well. Just one small issue with your tables. I'm not at all tall, only 5ft2 and I struggled to get my legs under the table as they are...

We are supper here for 6 on the 23rd and 26th March 2017. Highly recommended, excellent food, great service with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is imaginative, with local produce and a healthy twist. The landlord has a fun sense of humour.
