Hotel in very good position overlooking Oulton Broad. Plenty of parking spaces. Check in was fast and friendly. Stayed on first floor with view of the Broad. Room very clean. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

The moment we arrived I felt uneasy, a noisy road by a bridge. We asked to see the room, very disappointed, we asked to see a better room that had something more than a 2x2 window we were taken to a high end room - dismal decor with views immediately out side window of fire escape. We sadly felt it...

Greeted by friendly staff. Our deluxe room consisted on a big double bed, one window overlooking the car park and noisy road and one tiny window high up on the wall. The bathroom was fine. But the room also had a desk and A chair. We were expecting a deluxe room with at least two chairs and perhaps a small...

Much room for improvement. Stayed in a deluxe double which had an awful smell. We were not offered a room swap or even an apology until we mentioned we had already tried to mask the smell with airfreshner and this had not worked. A maintenance man was sent to look at the bathroom whilst we were out but we heard...

We were not guests in the hotel but called here for lunch as it had been recommended by a friend. We both had the carvery which had plenty of vegetables to choose from as well as four different meats. The meat, we both had pork, which was lovely and tasty and the vegetables were hot which is quite rare for...

Im sorry, but it took 45 mins for my sons food to come out, only after chasing it up. When it did it was overcooked and to be honest didnt look that appetising. The other 3 of us in our party had carvery. We waited a bit before going up to time it right and had still finished by the...

Enjoyed it so much went back next day but did not load plates so we had room for the lovely apple pie, the only sad thing was they...

Read the reviews and our expectation were managed. We didn't expect fancy and we didn't get it. We didn't expect the view from the room and it was lovely on a sunny spring morning. The hotel itself? In the 1970's it must have been quite a la mode and it has stuck steadfastly to that image. Carved wood everywhere vertical....

There were 16 in our party in total including young children. The hotel was welcoming and I must say all the staff were very friendly, helpful and quite frankly just lovely! That was from making the booking right through to checking out. It wasn't the austere formal professional 'nice' but relaxed, friendly local 'nice' (if that makes sense). We didn't...

Had a lovely pub lunch, sandwiches and chips at a very reasonable price whilst sitting outside watching the boats on the Broad; with room for some great puddings! The carvery was very popular and it would bed best to book in advance.
