Had my wedding here on Easter Monday 2016 and had an absolutely amazing time. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff at this venue. They have helped in every way possible and made our special day extra special. Extra special mention to Phillipa for her tireless work and organizing. One amazing person! (With a very loud voice) The...

We went to a wedding here yesterday (day and night) and felt welcome all day. The staff were all very polite and professional. Service and wedding food were extremely nice, very well organised aswell. Bedroom were comfy and spacious. Breakfast was a full English Buffett and cooked to perfection.

Bit of a strange one, this. I was here with four colleagues on a business trip. We walked into the wonderful old building decked out with Christmas decorations - but it became a bit eerie when it was apparent that the four of us were the only ones staying there! My room was gigantic (a good 5 metres by 5)...

This is a very good venue for weddings / receptions. A grand old post Georgian Hall. The house is set in extensive beautiful grounds providing a romantic setting for photography. The driveway approach is impressive. Provision of all the meals was of a high standard, with particular reference to the wedding reception or breakfast, which on each of the functions...

Stayed here whilst on business in the area. Very briefly: The Good Bits: A lovely venue and a wonderful setting - it is a proper grand old house. The staff - every single one I'd encountered are lovely and helpful. The Bedroom I had (no 10) was very big and well appointed with a lovely bathroom. The Not So Good...

I was fortunate enough to return to Somerford on Saturday for my own wedding. We have been to the venue 2 years previous for my (now!) sister in law's wedding. Having browsed through a few of the reviews its clear to see that you can't please everyone all of the time so I aim to write this as to what...

My partner and I hired Somerford Hall for the celebration following our daughter's christening. The staff were fabulous, I cannot praise them enough. From the early stages of planning right through to the day itself they could not have been more helpful. They provided exactly what we asked for alongside offering cost effective suggestions to enhance our day. The food...

I came here as I was in the area for an interview and the cost of the room with breakfast was excellent value at just £69. The room I stayed in was absolutely beautiful, with a massive 4 poster bed and amazing high ceilings and windows. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. I ate in the restaurant where the...

At first sight I can see where some of the previous reviewers are coming from; this place could do with the touch of a good interior designer, to bring it up to stunning; the decor and furniture don't match the size or potential of the building......however........! The staff are all lovely and very welcoming and helpful, the food is brilliant...
