Nice hotel in stunning location, could do with a refresh but not bad by any means. Staff very friendly and helpful, particular praise for the new restaurant manager. Food well cooked and presented, no hesitation about returning. Take a drive all the way around Loch Rannoch on single track road, it doesn't get much better as an intro to the...

Lovely as it's location is, this hotel has little else to recommend it. We have been coming to the place since 1976 and have seen a traditional Scottish hotel turn into a package holiday destination. Today the Macdonalds hotel is barely speaking with the highland lodges around it. The hotel provides some facilities such as a swimming pool, but the...

A large number of us had booked this hotel, and several of the lodges, for Friday and Saturday in early March to hold a "Ceilidh Weekend". The hotel offered us a very good rate for accommodation and we had a most enjoyable time. Rooms were ok if rather dated. Our twin room was very small with little storage space but...

Nice break for my wife's birthday - stunning get a way location with fab walks. We booked a room overlooking the Loch which was really nice. We ate both nights in the bar which had similar menu to restaurant and a good selection. We used the leisure facility which was ok - nice size pool though bit of a hassle...

Just returned home from a fantastic weekend for a Ceilidh, made lots of new friends. Hotel was full of character, good food and drink. Service was a bit slow at time, but hotel was full so understandable.

Has to be one of the most scenic locations for a hotel in the UK. We had a "classic" room with a view overlooking the loch across to Schiehallion. The room was well appointed but possibly a bit dated in terms of furnishings etc. Cleanliness was excellent. Had dinner both nights in the dining room and the food was excellent....
