Located just 15 miles from Oxford and 11 miles from Blenheim Palace, Old Swan is nestled in 65 acres of idyllic grounds in the picturesque village of Minster Lovell. This quintessentially English inn seamlessly blends the rural charm of its historic setting with contemporary design, luxurious comfort and delicious menus crafted from the best seasonal produce. The magical gardens, wild flower meadows and woodland which enclose the mill and inn come alive during the summer months – fishing, walking, croquet and tennis are the order of the day while throughout cooler weather roaring log fires provide a welcome retreat.

Tired decor, access to room via stairs very difficult with luggage with no offer of assistance from staff. Breakfast okay, asked for toast twice but it never appeard. On-suite dated, anyone over 6 foot will never access the shower. Only good point to the stay was the bed, had a very good nights sleep. Would avoid this hotel, foreign visitors may find it quaint, I found it dreary and dog eared. I paid £285 for the room and breakfast and coulld have found much better elsewhere.

A Lovely little cottage set in the heart of a pretty village on the edge of the Cotswolds. Swan Cottage has the potential to be outstanding with just a few minor changes needed to bring it up to the standard that you would expect for the the price. That said, the food in the bar is great, breakfast was very nice & the staff are lovely.

I’m sorry but apart from the lovely Spa staff I really couldn’t recommend this as a place to stay or eat. Shocking attitude from staff at the Old Swan from check in to check out. Our evening meal was appalling with them swapping our pie of choice to another one without even telling us! And it was to something we don’t eat. Book some where else!

on holiday in the cotswolds, lovely sunny day, outdoor dining in a lovely garden, what could go wrong? well, the food was ok (nothing special) and the garden was indeed lovely, what spoiled everything was the rude, surly waitress who (even before we had actually entered the garden) barked aggressively at my wife before proceeding to ignore us for at least 15 mins while she served others who had arrived after us, she eventually took our order with absolutely no politeness, a grunted 'what do you want?' was the best we got ..... fortunately another waitress took over and the rest of our visit was tolerable .... this place is good looking but they need to get their customer service sorted

Another perfect Cotswold hamlet, and a beautiful old pub with good food, friendly staff and professional outlook - customer service top notch. This has a sister hotel property across the lane with spa and other facilities but the Old Swan had everything we wanted for a 2 day break. This is an expensive way to stay in a pub, but then the quality of the room and the service is great. Bound to return!
