Been here a number of times. Usually good, but has gone down hill recently with staff looking depressed and and management being rude to their staff in front of customers, which leaves an awkward atmosphere to say the least!

We had a lovely stay at the Rose and Crown. The rooms are in a converted stable block and the room we stayed in was fab. It was spacious and well furnished, comfy bed and sofa, clean and tidy with a good en suite. Hot chocolate provided with the usual tea and coffee was a brilliant addition- something we always...

We stayed for one night, and had our evening meal and breakfast at the Rose and Crown. Generous portions, well cooked and quality ingredients. Pride taken in customer care and presentation. Lovely Pub with Real Fire in gorgeous village.

My partner and I are regulars here, it's such a cosy pub perfect for a Sunday lunch- lovely open fires, friendly staff and great food. All the locals are chatty and they don't mind our 15 month old running about after her lunch :) One of my favs .

Thursday evening steak night, £10 for a lovely steak, beautifully rare, nice tasty dressed salad, succulent garlic Portobello mushrooms, crunshy thick chips, what's not to like? Lovely evening, good wine and warming wood-burning stove.

A lovely welcome and a table set just beyond a roaring large inglenook fireplace , cosy warm and homely fire burning in the grate. We enjoyed a tasty , hot Sunday Roast with all the trimmings . Our choice was Lamb and it was soft/ tendersom and full of flavour . All the seasonable vegetables were cooked to perfection and...

Xander, the landlord is a great host, we were warmly welcomed. The room was large, with a very comfortable bed and en suite bathroom. I particularly enjoyed the large open fires and the breakfasts. Delicious local produce, in particular the Ottinge farm yoghurts. The Rose and Crown is a lovely pub with lots of great beers on tap. Elham is...

We stopped at the Rose and Crown recently on a quick trip to Ashford/Canterbury. It is a delightful old pub, full of history and character. There were several cosy fires burning on the night that we visited - great for sitting in front of while having a quiet drink, or while browsing the fabulous dinner menu. The food was great,...

Went with a group of friends for a pre-Christmas get together. Wonderful food and impeccable service. Even the fussiest among us were happy and praised the food! Great value for money. Highly recommended.
