So very happy we chose to stay here! The well-traveled hosts were exceptional in every way. The room was lovely, very clean, and the modern en-suite bathroom huge (best bathroom of our two-week trip). We received a snack tray upon arrival and there is tea/coffee service in the room - very welcome after a long day of travel! The breakfasts...

Very warm welcome. Our room was perhaps a little small, but had everything we needed. Our hosts Isobel and Patrick welcomed us like family! Great breakfast. Nothing to complain about at all! It was a little difficult to find as there was no sign to indicate the guest house and the house number was at the end of a short...

A very friendly welcome from Isobel and nothing is too much trouble. The room was very comfortable and clean. My wife always complains about the bed everywhere she goes, but was surprised to have a very comfortable nights sleep. so five stars just for that... Breakfast was very good, probably the best you will get anywhere and the fruit salad...

Had a one night stop in The Roods recently and very much enjoyed our stay with Isabel and Patrick. They were both so helpful and friendly and even sorted out a restaurant booking for us. Everything was clean. Our breakfast was delicious, hot and very well presented. The fresh fruit salad was one of the best I've had...and I must...

Isabel and Patrick were very kind, and the room was extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast was ample and delicious. I'm glad that I stayed at the Roods, and I'll be recommending it to everyone I know who will be visiting nearby in the future!

I recently stayed at this B&B. The house and garden are beautiful! Isobel is fantastic! She and her husband went out of their way to assist my friend and I. We are from the US and needed help with getting to the airport. Isobel arranged for a discount taxi to take us to the airport very early in the morning....

Came here for the first time last year and wondered if I would be able to comment on improvements this time around but it proved to not be the case. However, that's not a bad thing as last year's stay was top notch and the same applied this time around. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, the hosts are friendly and...

I only stayed at The Roods for one night, but I was completely satisfied and would happily have stayed longer. I chose this B&B based on its proximity to the Forth bridges, with the intention of doing some photographing. The location was great. Just a short drive to North Queensferry. One could easily walk it or take the train also....

Our hosts are a very nice couple that provide a well and warm atmosphere. The breakfast is marvelous. Our room was a cozy two bed room with a very clean bathroom and a comfortable shower. Big window to the quiet backyard.Towels are more than you can use with a top quality (smoth but thick material, not that outworn flannels). We...

This is a homely type B&B where the friendly owners try their very best to cater for every need. The rooms are spacious with little extras like a welcoming plate of goodies including fresh fruit. Comfortable bed and a surprisingly large modern bathroom. Ideally Situated as you only need to cross the road to catch the train into Edinburgh. Lovely...
