I have enjoyed lunch here a couple of times once with friends and again with my wife. A small meal is offered in addition to a large size. My small steak pie had plenty of good tender meat and my wife enjoyed her fish. The chips were home made and very good and the vegetables were freshly cooked. The small...

Stayed here one night recently . From the outside looks nice the bar area and restaurant look like they have just been done up . But the rest of the place is awful . The back area looks like a building site and the room we stayed in on the top floor was disgusting with black mouldy windows and and...

This hotel in the centre of Howden always looks promising from the outside, but this is our first visit inside! Lovely girl behind the bar who brought over our drinks and asked if we would like to eat in the lounge or in...

Stayed one night after work party. Cost £37 for a single room. It was warm, had a decent shower, a fairly comfy (though very soft) bed and the TV worked. Bit scruffy round edges, but towels and bed were clean.

I was particularly pleased about the smaller portion menu which I ordered from. The only downside was the wait for our meal. Wether it...

Stayed for one night as i was attending a wedding. Hotel was polite enough to inform me that one of the twin rooms i had booked had plumbing problems and gave us two singles instead at no extra cost prior to our arrival which was very courteous of them. Rooms could do with some modernisation. Mattresses were old and lost...

Only guest that night. Given room at top at front. Noisy until after midnight with people and traffic outside. Room hot but had to keep window closed. Too light to sleep until hotel outside light switched off after midnight. Good evening meal in pleasant dining area of hotel bar. Poor breakfast in scruffy reception area - worst of the week...
