Had a lovely break here recently - we had the Dunbar Suite on the top floor. Beautiful beamed ceiling, lovely comfortable bed and the roll top bath in the en-suite was big enough for two. Had an amazing 30th Birthday at Durn House! Would highly recommend - staff were great, all organised down to the last detail and met my requirements exactly! Rooms are well worth a stay too - beautiful, unique rooms.

Beautiful hotel. Stayed in the silk room, it was large and luxurious. Staff were very accommodating organising 2 massages at the last minute and a dinner reservation. All the food was beautiful. Definitely visit again

very good charming Scottish country hotel,old build in the early 18th century ,very quiet park setting,old gentry Scottish charm.very good breakfast menu if one does not like the menu ,the prepare if possible one request,the chef makes his own sauces from reductions,that is very rare in our times,very good dinner ,very good service in the hotel

Recently returned from a short break here,first class from staff to the elegance of this lovely old house,We were in the Durn Suite which is located on the first floor and worth the small extra charge.the suite was enormous with a four poster bed and a huge bathroom with a free standing bath,all areas of this house are tastely decorated...

We had the Durn Suite - delightful with a massive bathroom. It felt very luxurious. Staff very friendly and helpful. The area is lovely we went on a big coastal walk in the rain and got the bus back and then warmed up in the big bath! Cullen skink at the Cullen bay hotel is a must. The evening meal...

We went to Durn House for my father's 87th birthday, and to give him the opportunity to visit childhood haunts. Durn house was just the perfect choice. It was beautifully decorated and very comfortable (divine beds and lovely soft cotton bed linen). The food was delicious - i think probably the tastiest smoked haddock I have ever eaten for breakfast....

The interior of this apparently austere house is wonderful, the lovingly created decor superb,the rooms enormous yet very comfortable. The staff are attentive and charming, food is delicious, the breakfast especially good, a wide choice of locally sourced ingredients. This place is well worth a visit! The rooms are full of character and ours was enormous. The staff were brilliant and the food was great! Exceptional standard in the restaurant both in the evening and breakfast. Even had a massage there too. We'll be back!

We celebrated our wedding anniversary and booked one night in the Durn Suite. It was stunning !!!! We received a warm welcome from the staff and the service was first class. Durn House is an elegant Georgian Mansion House in its own grounds offering luxury accommodation in large rooms with luxury en-suites or private bathrooms at sensible rates. Steeped in history, Durn House was believed to have been built in the Adams style by Sir James Dunbar of Durn in circ. 1770.
