We have stayed in this hotel a couple of times and it suits our needs. Everything is clean and tidy. Good sized rooms - comfortable bed - bathroom is fine and noise levels low. We have not eaten at this hotel but our friends have taken breakfast and we're pleased with what was on offer. I would use again but...

Due to the death of the owner of the B&B we were to stay in, this hotel was chosen for location. It is right in the middle of a very busy little city in Belgium. The staff was accommodating, the room was large and clean. The city noise stopped at 10P! and it was a quiet night. We had three...

A great hotel near the main square with the best owners. We had some car trouble and they helped us find a garage and when the car was brought back to life they drove us to the garage. We could not thank them enough. The room was nice and modern.

Good 1 night stay. They set us up with bikes for a trip to In De Vrede. If you can manage it, bikes were a great way to see the area. Room was clean. Staff was nice. Location was an easy walk to the train station and to local eateries. No smoking in the rooms, but you'll catch a whiff...

We chose this hotel purely for its location and it didn't disappoint. For a very reasonable price and just off the main square it was perfect. Facilities were good, the shower excellent. All in all a good place to stay.

Give Ypres a miss and visit Poperinge. We had two nights here, which were very enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the owner is a very helpful person. She was happy to point you in the direction of places to visit, and the breakfasts were very good, and a cut above the normal continental breakfast. Would not hesitate to visit again.

We and another couple had a very enjoyable stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Owners were extremely accommodating and very informative about their city. Very competitive in price. A great breakfast came with the room. Would definitely recommend anyone traveling in the area to stay there. A vintage place to stay! Keith and Sharon Fuller Woodville, Texas

We stayed at the Hotel Palace for five nights - 3 rooms, a double, a twin and a single. It was a late decision to stay here and we have no regrets. The bedrooms and toilets were clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was the usual continental style although we were offered eggs (boiled, omlette or scrambled) with bacon. There was...

We were intending to stay overnight in Ypres but lack of availabilty and high prices made us look elsewhere and we found this excellent hotel 15 minutes drive away from Ypres. Poperinge is a small town with character and some interesting sites relating to WW1 and this hotel is in the centre of town. It is quite old but very...

Stayed one night. Room clean and comfortable, breakfast excellent (best of the trip), secure parking for our motorbikes. The lady owner was very charming and welcoming and speaks good English. Unfortunately the hotel no longer has a restaurant, but it does have a nice bar. I would stay here again.
