Dantica and it's grounds really are beautiful. It can be a bit of a walk to your room, but you are rewarded with privacy and a personal experience with the cloud forest. The trails at Dantica are incomparable. There are tons of trails through their enormous property. Dantica maintains the trails quite well, but they are trails not sidewalks, and...

I arrived with my mother 4 hours in advance of check in time with hopes of leaving our luggage and exploring the grounds. The front desk manager was incredible, so friendly, and not only gave us early check in, but upgraded our room!! We were checked in promptly, and then went to the restaurant for lunch. The menu is as...

We spent 2 nights at Dantica Lodge, which is a fantastic location with amazing views of the surrounding cloud forest and valley. Turning off the Pan-American highway you descent almost 4kms on a dirt and partially asphalted highway which has many hairpin turns before reaching Dantica, which adds to the anticipation of how remote this place feels. The small village...

This lodge is for those who want to experience the cloud forest and its wildlife - and particularly the Resplendent Quetzal. Our guide, Helmut, found us one within 30 minutes and we went on to walk through the valley and see several other great birds on our three walks with him. The grounds of the lodge offer opportunities for seeing...

Our second time here, never fails to impress. However i have noticed certain details they should take into consideration, bathroom needed some maintenence, some rust, the jacuzzi looked somewhat filthy. Room (superior bungalow) was wonderful, clean. It is still our #1 option for a mountain trip!

we stayed in the Master Suite which had great views from the terrace. It was close to the hotel but the walk was steep for some people at the altitude and also a childrens play area was situated next to it. The room was large and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was ok. We did not do their tours...

My wife and a had a very pleasant two night stay in unit 8. The property is very rugged and beautiful. It was about an eight minute walk from our cabin to breakfast along a path of pavers. Not too steep, but lots of elevation gain getting up to the unit. We had a beautiful secluded location with great views...

Good location and views. The tours were definitely overpriced, transport on the tours were additional to the price. Restaurant and staff good but pricey For alternative walk 200m up the road for Miriams cafe which was warm and welcoming with wonderful bird feeding station

Beautifully located lodge in the Gerardo de Dota valley in the Quetzals national park. Very comfortable accommodation, nice restaurant, tastefully organised art exhibition and personalised service. Great tour guides for bird watching and hiking tours. Highly recommended.

We arrived at Dantica Lodge after a stay in the Osa Peninsula and the cool weather and beautiful views were the first good impressions. We had bungalow nr 3 which admittedly has a beautiful view. However the room wasn't very clean and the furniture in it is very very tired. I couldn't use the table because it wobbled so much...
