A short walk to a wide, sandy beach - but best to get a pair of swimming shoes to help you over the stones at the waters edge. A good variety of shops also a short walk away, and an easy bus ride into Rethymnon. The food was plentiful, but bland, with basically the same every day - and not...

Nice hotel in Platanias (eastern from Rethymno, 10 minutes by bus). Many bars (for example Eyes Bar with Soul Man opposite hotel), restaurants and shops. About 4 minutes walk to the beach across the road. Our room was modest but clean (firdge, dryer, bathroom with toailet, balcony, paid safe and aircondition). Two sunny pools (one for kids). All hotel staff...

Location of hotel in the middle of a busy street with plenty of bars, restaurants and shops and only a 2 minute walk to the beach, just across the road. We arrived at the hotel quite late, however after checking in we were taken into the restaurant where they had saved us a cold buffet and access to wine, beer...

We ended up here after the nightmare of the first hotel (see my last review) and what a huge improvement on what we had endured for 2 days in Scaleta Beach Hotel. The food is good, plenty of choice and the snacks in between were good too. All inclusive alcohol means self service beer, soft drinks and on an evening...

Let me start off by saying that reviewing the hotel badly because of the lack of British cliesnts is unfair on the hotel. Foreign people go on holiday too... And for the record every single person at that hotel spoke conversational English and I made some great friends from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany. Not to mention we were...

I stayed there in June 2012. Weather was great: air temperature +34 C, sea water +23 C. Sea water is very warm and nice in this area, which is important (compered to Kos island where I was before- was imposible to swim there comfortably, as sea water was cold). Very nice, clean hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Very close to...

Hotel itself is very clean, nicely positioned and the staff especially Maria very welcoming, she was the first person to greet us and even told us to hurry into the dining hall as the food was being served until nine before showing us to our very spacious room. Free wifi was brill and we could access it in our room...

We stayed in 2010 and were 1 of only 2 English couples here at the time, not a problem. No rowdiness after we went to bed, the entertainment was just background music so no noise problems at all. The rooms were fine, clean and tidy. Me and my partner are both fussy eaters and neither of us went hungry, it's...
