This is a little piece of heaven! It's a very remote location and you feel like you are in the middle of the jungle! Cabins are clean, big and have an outside bathroom! Staff is very friendly and they provide free shuttle service to the Orang Utan rehabilitation centre

Booked for 3 nights, in a double ridge view chalet. The location is great, you really do feels as though you are in the jungle. We had booked because of the reviews on lonely planet, but I think that the place has changed since the reviews were written. The place felt a little tired. There was a decking area with...

My wife and i stayed here for 2 nights in one of the cabins. The place seems a bit run down but for where it is located it had all we needed. The rooms were rustic but clean with a/c and fly net. The bathroom had an outdoor feel as the shower was open with views of the forest. The...

I enjoyed my stay here. It is basic but you are in the jungle so expectations were not high. Friendly staff who were helpful with anything including booking trips, taxis or anything else. We stayed 5 nights which may have been a little long as there is not that much to do once you have been to the orangutans, the...

A fantastic start to a 10 day stay in this amazing country. Via email we re-arranged a taxi pick-up from Sandakan airport – well worth doing as we then had no hassle with competing taxis and were taken directly to Paganakan Dii. The accommodation is almost exactly as you’d expect from the many photos on their web site and on...

I think Sandakan is pretty much just a convenient place to base yourself to prepare for all your adventures. The town itself is nothing special but the surrounding areas are amazing! Paganakan itself is pretty close to the airport, main road and wildlife sanctuaries but still deep enough into the jungle that you have complete peace and quite. The cabins...

This lodge is a very lovely relief from the hussle and bussle or Borneo towns and cities, its off the beaten trach but not too far and an in-service shuttle and taxi service is available for most destinations. The cabins are rustic and very quaint, everything you need for a getaway and back to basics stay. We loved our stay....

Stayed with my girlfriend in a double room for two nights. Perfectly pleasant stay. This is a lovely retreat in the Sepilok jungle. Our room had a good mosquito net over the bed, air con & fan and our favourite part was the outside spacious bathroom / shower looking out into the trees Most of the staff are helpful and...

If you like rustic then you will love this place. It isn't for everyone but I loved it hear as it was quite, peaceful, views that overlooked the jungle and the rooms took full advantage of this. Our room had a huge door that opened up onto the view. It isn't for everyone so don't expect luxury and you need...

If you're the kind of person who hates camping, you're better off staying in a hotel that's completely sealed off from insects and other natural features of tropical rainforest, as well as completely plugged in to wifi and staff who will answer your every beck and call efficiently and in perfect English. However, if you love waking up to the...
