Having stayed here a couple of times I thought it was due time to write my review. Mandy and Chris are impeccable hosts and the property is both wonderfully maintained with sensational views of the river and fields. Downton is a lovely village and this may be one of the best properties in the village, let alone amongst those available... More

Lovely location between two merging rivers. Mandy is a welcoming and friendly host. The room was very comfortable with en-suite and sitting room. All in all, a good place to stay in a quite village. The Wooden Spoon pub serves great food.

The most beautiful bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. The room was stunning, the views were amazing, the hosts friendly and helpful, the breakfast gorgeous. Wish we had been booked in for a week instead of just two nights. Listening g to the water running by and the birds singing was so relaxing. I haven't slept this well... More

This is a pseudo-review, because we didn't actually get to stay there. We booked a room for two nights, but being *thrifty* Americans, my husband and I opted not to buy a Sim card for our phone and hoped to have enough directions-in-hand & emails-exchanged to arrive. But, Google maps and England don't always speak the same language. Moving on...... More

This was just a one night stay but very nice it was. Friendly land lady. Lovely and clean .Only downside was hot water ran out and no sausages with our full English breakfast. Parking is OK if there is only one car in your party
