Only stayed one night but should have stayed longer ! Room was lovely and bed very comfortable. Staff all really lovely . Star of the show is the food. The best meal I've had in a long while. The portions were generous and all freshly cooked. Lovely ambience and the pretty village of Sandsend on the doorstep. It's literally 100...

Eskbek House was recommended and we weren't disappointed. We will definitely return on our next trip to Whitby and Sandsend. Booking is advisable and next time I will ask to sit in the window which has a good view of the bay.

What a great place! Super location right by the beach, really delicious food and perfect, friendly service. We loved it! Our room (Nora) was small but very cosy and comfortable and we loved that we could hear the sea even with the windows shut and the shutters closed. It felt like being in a ship! Supper was really delicious, served...

A real discovery is Estbeck House. We have known and loved Sandsend for 50 years but it now has a superb restaurant with rooms. Food in the Premier Division. Service friendly, personal and helpful with a warm welcome. The only slight snag ( 5 stars but for this) was our attic room which was very comfortable but short on headroom...

A lovely location in the quiet seaside village of Sandsend. Although just off the road, we didn't hear any traffic noise. Our room was on the second floor so two quite steep staircases which wasn't a problem for us but do bear in mind for anyone with mobility issues. We stayed for two nights and ate in the restaurant on...

The bedroom was small if you were going to stay for a few nights, no problem at all for one night. The seafood was some of the best and freshest we have eaten and the presentation was modern. Staff friendly and efficient.

Stayed for one night in this beautiful location. The meal was faultless and of superb quality and flavour with excellent service, attentive but discreet. Other establishments could learn from here. It is expensive but the food is truly memorable. Excellent wines too.

The restaurant was recommended to us by a friend and we finally managed to get a table after a number of attempts. I can understand why!! Food was great and the staff attentive and happy to make recommendations of what to have. We had 3 courses and enjoyed it all, .. even the taster desserts, ... only had 3! We'll...

Lovely little hotel with a wonderful restaurant. We stayed for one night in order to enjoy a walk around the village and a meal in the hotel. If your not a fish fan be warned this menu is predominantly fish with two or three alternatives. I'm no fish lover but the starter I had of salmon cheesecake may have converted...
