We spent three days here before a scheduled sailing trip which turned out to be a blessing. My wife came down with the flue on flight #2 of the 4 to get here. She spent two days sleeping in the very quiet and air conditioned cabin while I had the use of their kayaks, bicycles, and snorkel gear. But most...

We had a lovely evening meal here, just after sunset on Sunday. There was nowhere else open. The food was delicious, service excellent. Location means that sunsets are visible, adding to the ambience of the evening. Great night, thanks.

Following our luxury catamaran cruise, we stayed 3 nights in 2 of the 4 bungalows. Bungalows were beautiful (you'll note a Balinese theme) and in a beautiful setting; each has a small porch with chairs for enjoying the sunset views (Bora Bora in the distance). We arrived when the restaurant was closed to the public, and the staff had some...

My wife and I stayed in one of the small bungalows before a sailing trip around the islands, we were very pleased with the bungalow and especially the restaurant and were treated extremely well by the staff, Jean Jacque the owner and his lovely wife. We highly recommend Fare Vai Nui.

Jean-Jacques and Chantal have a beautifully designed, small pension, with exceptional food. Raiatea is quite hard to get around (you need a car) and this Pension is not in walking distance of other food options (although there are shops within bike riding distance). But we had a lovely time kayaking to the motus for snorkelling and eating every night in...

20 km away from Uturoa this bungalow hotel is in quiet setting on the ocean with views to Bora Bora in the west. The accommodation is small but the four bungalows are in polished Balinese wood where attention to detail is second to none. Jean-Jacques, his wife Chantal who is an excellent chef in addition to the staff are helpful...

We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights at Fare Vai Nui. Raiatea is a more traditional version of French Polynesia (as opposed to Tahiti or Bora Bora), and this hotel enabled us to experience it while living in comfort and dining in style. Our room was simple but felt luxurious; it's in the traditional Polynesian style (and with airconditioning) - see...

The accommodation is very well maintained and the view of each bungalow is directly to the lagoon. They are directly at the beach and very clean. The best accommodation so far in French Polynesia. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to everyone. A car or scooter to get along is recommended. The owner is very friendly and the food in...

Jean-Jacques, his wife and all of the staff provide an extremely high level of personal service in every aspect of their wonderful accommodation. From the airport transfer, beautiful bungalows, kayaks (great for visiting the nearby motu to snorkel around the coral), personal car rental (to explore the island), fully stocked bar and wine cellar, outstanding freshly prepared food for breakfast...

We anchored in the nearby anchorage and really enjoyed the restaurant. Better than any other meal we had on Raiatea, Tahaa, or Bora Bora. French style. Really nice people. Great food. Nice location overlooking the motu and reef. the hotel looked good too, but we were sleeping on our boat. We will always plan to go bakc here for a...

“We had our own beds for the night but Jean Jacques was happy to show us the accommodation. We were first taken to a well appointed 'small' room. Pristine and adequate with attractive storage and beautiful wooden fittings. The bathrooms were attractive, clean and inviting. The larger rooms have an additional bed with a rollaway bed below it. Here the bathroom was much larger. All was wonderfully clean, set in a pleasant garden with views of the ocean.”
