Very nice location!! We are not used to being so far away from the crowd since we live in a tiny island. We were afraid we would die of hunger :) However we were astonished with the warm hospitality! Amazing food (a lot of passion in the food )was served and we really felt at home with Maurici and his...

In 2012 we stumbled upon Borda El Vilar, enjoying the stay so much that we built an itinerary this time around a further visit. Everything from the genuine rural Spanish hospitality, the food, walks with the amazing family dog and the friendliness of Maurici and Manela combine to make this a memorable travel experience. This time the Pyrenees even threw...

After a trip in mountains my motorbike broke down . Maurici & Manela could not have been more helpful in making phone calls and translating for me to get the us back on the road the following day . What can I say? This a wonderful, rustic guest house in the most fabulous surroundings. The bed was comfortable, the wifi was great in all areas, the parking was secure, the bathroom was immaculate and there was plenty of hot water. The guest lounge/bar and dining room were really great spaces - comfortable and interesting, with fabulous views and serving...

Borda El Vilar is a great B&B close to Sort and the National and Natural Parks. The owners Maurici and Manela are delightful and friendly people. Maurici does all the cooking and is an excellent cook. We took 4 dinners there and each one was different but all were delicious and beautiful to see. Maurici can give directions to help...

My husband and I arrived at Borda El Vilar late in the evening without reservation after a long and horrible day (got robbed in Barcelona). Maurici took us in warmly and showed us the available rooms. Even though he said it was only Bed and Breakfast and dinner had to be reserved in advance, he saw how tired and upset...

Upon our arrival at Borda El Vilar we were warmly greeted by our hosts Manela and Maurici and were shown to a wonderful room that featured a spectacular view and all the charm and warmth that are often advertised but seldom delivered. After a hike on the grounds with Manela's pets Berg and Lila we spent several pleasant hours touring...

This was our second visit after discovering this gem-of-a-place last year. The location and rural environment are ideal, isolated but near to adjacent picturesque villages and to Sort (including the near-by national park). Extremely friendly, authentic and informal owners who also have proven culinary talents. Meals are based on produce grown by themselves and we have never experienced tastier salads....
