We had a great night here, very good views, a nice breakfast in the morning and the surroundings are simply wonderful. The rooms are great, very comfy, very clean and the rooms are air conditioned. The only issue I'm seeing in all of this is that they close the pool at 20:30 so there is no way you can get...

The hotel has the best possible location in Toro, overlooking the 13th Century Colegiata, one of the jewel of the Romanic architecture in Castille. The Colegiata is literally 1 min. walking distance across a nice little park overlooking the Toro extensive beet fields and vineyards. Views over the old bridge and old Roman road are breathtaking. Other than that, the...

We were very happy staying in this lovely hotel; the views are stunning. Suggest a room with a balcony as we had. Room is ample size, bed very comfortable and good shower etc. Did not eat there preferring to eat in the town. Fabulous tapas and wines in town. Good location too , close to all there is to see...

two couples on a cycling trip in a wet April. Juan ll was an oasis of good food and wine with fantastic views and comfortable rooms. Toro is set up high so the view from rooms over the Douro river are amazing. My second stay here and just as good as the first.

We had been to Juan II restaurant before, and, while the food had been good, it had never been a great experience. This time, in one of their other restaurants, the food was excellent. The choice in the "menu del día" was impressive, and very tasty. The waiter was friendly, giving us the various dishes at the right time for...

Right in the middle of town, this elegant hotel was everything we could have wanted! Friendly, welcoming, informative - our room was spacious and comfortable with fabulous views across the Duero River and the wonderful cathedral nearby. Breakfast was simple but adequate (good coffee, fresh orange juice and fresh toasted croissant); we enjoyed a great lunch in the restaurant. We...

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Juan II in September, 2014. For a very small town it is a very nice hotel. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Parking is immediately outside the hotel, and while the parking area is small, there were sufficient spots. Our room had a beautiful view of the Río Duero and the surrounding...

Pleasantly surprised by this older hotel with a terrace that opens out to a wonderful view of the Douro. Parking was right outside the entrance and although the spaces were tight, it was not crowded when we arrived and left. The furniTure and fittings were of an age, but the room was clean and comfortable. The TV set was a...
