Familly guesthaus with friendly local atmosphere, simple nad kindly staff, excelent food and large pleasant rooms. Short abbout accomodation: New comfortable woody rooms with lot of space, wardrobe and large bathroom. Comfortable and clean bed. TV with international sat channels, free Wifi, refrigerator and clima. Werry large terace with wiew on willage and cottages. Woody, clean ambiance. A little dust under beds ( beacouse separated beds in offered room we are change rooms in last moment) - twin bed room maybe was not prepared for guests. Worth money in all!
Abbout food: Exelent taste local food, diferent kind of meat, sausages and homemade pasta type food. Must try "Kobasa iz saseke" and "Žlikrofi". werry rich plates, intuitive chef and kindly staff. Werry reasonable prices for quality and quantity. Breakfast included in room price: served by waiter; must try and eat all, if you can :)
Overview: Maybe we was suspicious when arrive beacouse exterier dont promise but soon we found that real things are inside... Dont think too much if you need cheap but comfortable accomodation or excelent local food in this area!

This country inn was conveniently located on a secondary road between Postojna and Škofja Loka. Although originally built in the 1700's, the inn has 3 newly constructed large rooms at the back, with excellent ensuite and balcony. The room rate was very reasonable and included a copious breakfast.
The inn is run by the Zelenc family; both the mother and father run the kitchen and the daughters help out with service. We enjoyed one of our most memorable dinners the night we stopped in -- the kind that the four of us (2 couples) will keep talking about for a long time! We were hungry when we arrived and got the sense that this was indeed a special place when we walked in. Although there are 2 other spaces with dining tables inside, we chose one of the tables next to the fine old ceramic stove, close to the bar. This is a typical village inn and the bar was full of local people. The owner's daughter was delightful, spoke very good English and did an excellent job of integrating us into the convivial atmosphere with the other patrons.
Once we quickly ordered the house red wine (very good and inexpensive), choosing what to eat from the regional and seasonal dishes on offer was not so easy... so we asked the daughter to choose for us was she thought would reflect the kitchen's best dishes. All we can say is: WOW!
We started with a plateful of local wild mushrooms, then enjoyed žlikrofi with boletus mushrooms, buckwheat struklji, and a platter of all kinds of other delicious vegetables, patés and meats. For dessert, we enjoyed one of the best apple strudels we had ever tasted! When we thought that we had eaten and drunk far, far too much, papa offered us his own homemade grappa, made with herbs. It was *wicked* good and it was very lucky that we only had to walk a few steps to our rooms... Neither our wallets, nor our heads the next morning, suffered at all from the experience. <grin>
The Gostilna Turk Inn was well worth the detour to get to, as was the lovely scenery of the secondary road that it's located on, on the way to Škofja Loka. Our brief stop here remains one of our most cherished memories of our trip to Slovenia in the Fall of 2008. That night, we opened a door into a typical, untouristy, and very hospitable Slovenian experience.

After visiting Postojna Caves it is very recommended to stay at Gostlina Turk inn. Excellent room, Excellent food, Excellent service. The room was very convenient, the food was very tasty, we had a trout fish and a beef steak, with good local beer.

We ended up at this restaurant by taking a detour on a smaller roads while enjoying countryside views and stopped here for lunch. We had grilled trout, deer steak and vareniki and some sort of German-inspired sausages. House wine was great as well. Service was quick, very friendly and inexpensive. Highly recommended!

It's very good restaurant. The stuff is nice. The food is excelent and they have several tipes of pizzas. Pizza is very good, have a lot of ham, mushroms and cheese on it. You can order any slovenian type of food, like steaks, čevapčiči, njoki, potatoes etc....

I had a very good experience in the restaurant of this place. I visited it with a group and we had very warm environment, delicious soups and main courses. Both the meat soup and the mushroom sups were really good and the the meat for main course, too. The local beer of course was very well appreciated. Nice place, good place to come back with friends or with family.

Small family run hotel with friendly staff. Clean and spacious room with large terrace. Recommended for bikers. On road from Logatec to Tolmin, very popular with bikers. Locked parking for bikes behind the building. Good local food and pizza.
