Stayed here with my husband, son and dog! We had a great stay. The owners were friendly and accommodating. It was really busy in the bar on this particular Saturday night, and on the advice of the owner, we booked a table. We did not have to wait too long for our meals and we all really enjoyed what we'd...

We stayed here during our Coast to Coast walk. The hotel feels run down and could have been cleaner. The proprietor had a terrible cold and I managed to catch it. Our room was mediocre. The breakfast was okay, but the service was slow.

We came here for dinner when staying nearby. We both had chicken lasagne, although we were tempted by the monkfish casserole. The landlord said the fish was fresh, but frozen, which put us off. Our lasagnes arrived and were clearly micowaved after freezing. Completely tasteless! The loud background music was also a pain. On a positive note the real ale...

Had another brilliant stay at the buck in reeth. Hospitality, second to none - Roy, Julie and the rest of the team are such lovely, welcoming people. The food was amazing and a great night was had with the entertainment in the Rie room. There was a problem with the gas heating but electric heaters were promptly delivered to each...

I arrived for an overnight stay whilst doing some property viewings locally. Made very welcome on arrival and was upgraded to a bigger room. Both Roy and Julie despite being busy with customers went out of their way to chat to me throughout the evening rather than leaving me on my own in the bar and made me feel more...

Stayed at the Buck Inn for two nights Breakfast was excellent, room small with a four poster bed that was out of place. Busy Friday night had to wait for the oven baked pizza which was worth waiting for. All in all a lovely stay.

This was the only place open in Reeth for a coffee/long drink - we were welcomed here.No so the rest of Reeth . Very disappointing- the village was quite busy but nowhere for a drink!! We had traveled up from Skipton hoping for a cuppa - bad show Reeth.

What a fantastic weekend! Decided to have a weekend in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales for my Mums 70th birthday. We went back to the Buck hotel in Reeth as the hospitality, food and hotel are so brilliant. We were not disappointed! The landlady and landlord Julie and Roy made such a fuss of my Mum and made her feel very...

Visited for a one night stay with our dog Ben. The room was very nice and we had a great night sleep. The breakfast was excellent, even a bowl of sausages brought out for the dog. The hosts at the Buck couldn't do enough for us and it really is a brilliant place to take the dog. Would highly recommend.

I travelled to the Buck Hotel in end of November 2016 whilst in Richmond. I had two dogs with me and my needs were very simple. It was very last minute but I arrived in the dark and the the Manager was very welcoming and incredibly helpful. I always worry about having dogs with me as some places tolerate dogs...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Buck Hotel is a former Coaching Inn which dates from circa 1760 and is located at the village of Reeth's main cross roads and where a turnpike was in operation two centuries ago. The C2C goes past the front door, so the Buck is very popular with walkers. The Buck retains its traditional oak beamed bar with interesting horse brasses and an amazing collection of door knockers! Plus the tour de France passed the front door in 2014 so has now become very popular with cyclists. With an excellent reputation for real ales and ciders the Buck has been awarded the 2015/16 Cask Marque [for quality Real ales] and is featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2015.There is a good and varied menu with daily specials, which includes everything from Steaks to Fish & Chips and Game when in season. If you like a whisky, there are over 50 to choose from and the wine list is very popular. Dogs are welcome and there is overnight storage for cylcles. With a roaring log fire, the Buck offers the genuine Yorkshire welcome. ... more   less
