Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Overnight stay after long drive with grandkids, friendly owners/staff booked evening meal and was pleasantly surprised at the standard of the meal, room clean but typically French not of the standard you would expect looked forward to shower with body jets etc but in the morning found only one rose worked, doors opened on there own and it rocked, to be fair I am a big guy. Breakfast limited but fresh and coffee good, so okay room not the best in the world but food and staff made up for that and I stay again. One tip big car park at the back of the hotel which I would have liked to know when parking a large truck and trailer in the cobbled high street. But again nice place. One thing name changed to “come inn”

Hotel Du Grand Cerf is now under new management and is called Come Inn. Totally refurbished, friendly staff, excellent locally sourced food. Highly recommended.- particularly for cyclists using the Avenue Vert from Paris to London via Dieppe.

We had a very beautifully designed and very clean room. It was also especially important that we could arrive late at night: we just had to introduce a code to enter the main door and could collect the key ourselves.

Lovely very French small hotel with a very nice restaurant. i stayed here whilst on a solo cycle trip to Paris. They have a garage at the back of the hotel and let me keep my bike in there. The restaurant is the the street level entrance where they serve a very nice dinner and breakfast. I had a double room with a shower and toilet. A comfortable bed and a few beers and that was my stay as up early and off for my next section of ride.

Very friendly welcome and shown to private parking at rear. This is a town centre hotel within easy walking of bars and restaurants. Unfortunately the restaurant at the hotel itself was closed on the Saturday evening we stayed. ( and every Saturday apparently ) which we thought strange. Small but clean room with comfortable bed and neat little bathroom. Would stay here again.

Madame and her team were busy last winter refreshing the rooms. They must have worked very hard. Ours - room 3 - was done up well, and the one at the end of the same corridor we were invited to look at was too. She is by far the loveliest person running a hotel I have ever come across. As always, the room was clean, the shower great, the bed comfortable. Although we were on the front this time, there was no intrusion from the street; the windows are double glaze, I think. I've read complaints about breakfast. There are lashings of coffee, yogurt and fruit, ham and cheese if you wish, and fresh bread and croissants with honey and jam! Oh, and juice. And the dining/breakfast room is really interesting, spacious, and with lots of features. This year, as last, we were given a bottle of cidre as we left, and Madame waved us off. Truly, this hotel offers great value, and it's run by people who have absolutely nothing corporate about them; only genuine human warmth and kindness. Best place to wake up to a sixty eighth birthday when you're away from home. I love them.

Room Tip: It's probably quieter at the back, but I like the view down onto the street.

We stayed one night travelling between the tunnel and the western Loire. For 65 euros you have to manage expectations and it delivers more than could be expected for that price, especially the really friendly staff and welcome and free the wi fi. Parking is off the road by the garages at the rear, but not locked up. Room is convenable and clean with an en suite. Town has nice square with plenty of cafe and restaurants if you don't fancy the hotel itself. (Restaurant closed on Fridays...) Breakfast minimal continental but ok - no cold cuts, just jams. Overall a pleasant clean friendly and economical stop over to split the journey south or north from the channel - we'd stay here again.

Reasonable hotel with friendly cheerful staff. The road in front of the hotel is very busy so you cannot sleep with the windows open. The room was a bit outdated but otherwise ok, nothing special. Breakfast was very poor with bad coffee, a piece of bread, a croissant and some jam. Free WiFi internet worked ok
