The best character of this hotel was its majestic view of Meteora right in front of our room terrace. The building was low-rise, 3-storey high, thus not obstructing the Meteora backdrop. Rousanou Monastery was visible in the distance. It was a short drive from the main road in Kastraki, which was much quieter than Kalambaka and nearer to the monasteries. Without a car it would be a long walk.
The room was tidy and modern with comfortable king bed. Standard amenities including paper slippers (coconut toiletries, no shower cap nor vanities). No kettle or coffee/tea making facilities.
Breakfast buffet had plenty of options with moderate quality. There were also small guidebooks for sale and the update opening and closing time of the monasteries.

WOW.

I never did expect such a great stay in the small but bustling town of Kalambaka. The rooms looked and smelt so new, and the lobby is great to lookout. The few staff (including the managers) are EXCELLENT and deserve so much praise for looking after such a big hotel and keeping it so clean and functioning. The buffet dinner was very nice however I would of preferred if the food was just a little bit hotter. THE MOST AMAZING thing about this hotel was the comparably fast wifi to any other hotel in the rest of Greece. For this, I would give you six stars if I could!

Thank you so much for such a great stay and I look forward to returning!

Hotel reservation made by a travel agent as part of an overall booking to. see the monasteries at Meteora
Hotel was very comfortable
The high tourist season had already ended so it was not crowded.
The room was very spacious and comfortable.
Bed was very comfortable-great bathroom.
Room had a safe as well
Staff that I met were pleasant and helpful
The grounds were well kept.
I did not see a pool.
It was not within walking distance from town.
Their breakfast was excellent, tasty, well prepared food items.
One of the nicer hotels I have stayed in
Would highly recommend
The tour of the monasteries that was part of this trip was excellent as well.

After visiting the monastareries we checked into our hotel. Our room was extremely nice. Lots of wood, wood headboard, wood funiture, trim around the glass door was wood. We were told on our tour in Athens that wood is extremely expensive because it is a scarce commodity. Our balcony had a view of the giant rocks of Meteora. The area is so quiet and peaceful. The air is so clean and crisp especially in the morning. You can also hear the ringing of the bell from the monasteris located on the rocks of Meteora. Hearing the bell ring gives you a spiritual experience being so close to the sacred giant rocks.

This is a lovely hotel with excellent staff and a great view of meteora if you get a room towards that side. The front has plentiful parking and the hotel itself is extremely close to all the good stuff, including meteora itself, various restaurants and stores. All in all, an excellent combination. Except for one thing.

We had one bad experience with a staff member. We had brought some bottled water which we were drinking at the lobby. It was around 10-1030pm. A middle aged man with white hair emerged (I have no idea what his role might have been in the hotel). Without any sort of prompting, good evening, hello or anything else, he started ranting that we could cost him 10,000 euros for drinking water that was not purchased at the hotel, the reason being that the hotel could be accused of selling water without providing a receipt. This may very well be but his entire demeanor was just odd, almost vindictive. This behavior was perplexing to say the least and spoiled our stay.

We stayed there for 3 nights, a 4-members family. The room was sufficiently clean and large enough with 4 beds. the place is quite and peaceful with excellent view to Meteora. Breakfast was nice (but nothing extraordinary) with local tastes. Value for money is fine. We were there 6 families and the common room with the fireplace was an excellent place to rest. I am very satisfied.

Some comments to improve: we complaint for some problem in the room, the reception ignored us for 8 hours, I complaint the same to the new staff (change of shift) and they solved it in 10 minutes. Cleaning starts too early and this makes some noise, also I feel that cleaning is sometimes superficial. Wifi works poorly, not suggest the place for business.

We were on a group tour (my 50th class reunion, a large group of 25 couples). The hotel was chosen by the tour operator. We were here for one night. The rooms were quite large, and quite well furnished, and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom was OK, reasonably well-equipped. Very quiet. Breakfast was good. On the whole a good hotel, and I would have gladly given it an "excellent" rating, but for an unpleasant incident involving one member of our group, which detracted from a pleasant stay in Meteora. The incident? Well, on checking out, this guy was told that he had damaged the plastic cover of a fusebox in the room. He and his wife were shocked, and denied damaging anything, to no avail. He was slugged with a fee of sixty euros for repairing the "damage". There was no time to argue, we were already behind schedule, so this guy just paid up and settled the bill. Sixty euros is peanuts for him, he is a very successful businessman, what upset him (and all of us) was the unfairness of being accused of some silly thing, which he did not do. The incident left a bad taste in our mouths. Even worse, this was the second such incident for our group. Another member of our group had a similar issue in Corfu (being asked to pay for damages, which he did not cause).

Although listed as a Five Star hotel this hotel does not really warrant that and should only be four stars.
The rooms were clean, spacious and everything worked but the bathroom really let it down. The shower is only above a small bath with hardly any elbow space (and I'm not especially big) whilst all the towels were well beyond the use by date for a five star hotel.
The public areas were much more to the five star standard with pleasant gardens and a good bar area. The large dining room offered buffet service at breakfast and dinner with both having a great variety of choices, all of which were well cooked, tasty and plentiful.
Well outside the town so nice and quiet for a relaxing stay and although I didn't use it an attractive pool are and a spa/wellness centre.

We are here on a tour. Our tour company set up this hotel. I am feeling generous so I have given a 2 star rating. The room is spacious and common areas are pretty. So I guess 1 star for each of those. Cleanliness is less than expected from a hotel that is rated so high. (Who came up with that rating?) Cleanliness... room was not clean enough for the rating. It was dusty and empty shampoo bottles left in the shower before we arrived. Food... the menu has a mediocre offering at best. It was weak enough of quality options we decided to not even eat here. Through the tour group we have prepaid for breakfast for tomorrow. I'm concerned, looking at the reviews for that meal. Customer service... we went to the spa to use the jacuzzi. We are not spa people so wanted no other services. When we arrived we saw there is a fee for use of the pool and the jacuzzi. I found this strange especially for a 4 star plus hotel but the world has changed and I went with it. We were told the water was 30 Celsius. It was cool at best. When we approached the attendant she stated that is always the temperature and we could not get it free cancelled because it was already in the computer to pay for the morning. This is obviously not true. I have traveled a lot and received refunds because of having to leave early from hotels in this world countries. But apparently that does not work here. Their customer service focuses on the money not the customer. Beware before you start here. A lot of other nice places to stay near here.
