not to be confused with Hotel Meteora that does not have a pool or the grand hotel Meteora (all the hotels do not think of original names here).
Super friendly and super views of the Meteora rocks.
They really make an effort to be friendly and genuinely so.

The rooms are of and clean but nothing fancy, but honestly for the price of 80€/room B&B, how can you complain!? The bathrooms were clean and spacious, bed medium soft. Wifi not always great everywhere but good enough.

Staff were super friendly and recommended places to wak, eat and drink. They even moved our kids to a higher room to be closer to parents. Sweet!

Breakfast is good but nothing special. Service only due to Covid. Eggs and the home made cakes were super. Bread etc all good. Fruit perhaps below par for Greece. Orange juice more like carton than squeezed but fine too.
They do great smoothies at the pool and the views as you swim are divine.

Conclusion: worth definitely staying here compared to the rest of what we saw, but need a car to go to town etc. Would definitely come again.

Ask for Panoramic view rooms as definitely worth getting up in the morning for that.
Clientele is European and not too Eastern European, with no offense, as some places can be a bit overwhelming (noise levels not the same as ours).
And please try the breakfast ladies local cakes...simply scrumptious

First of all, we loved the location. It’s on the hilltop outside of town, and the mountain view on the valley is just gorgeous.

Breakfast had lots of Greek specialties like olives, spinach pie, honey cells etc. And the whole terrace is sunlit in the morning so it’s such a pleasure to eat there.

The area is blossoming with flowers, and catering can also bring you food right to the pool and sun beds. Hotel has a parking which is nice, too.

The only point that was not so great was that we booked a room with double double but got twin beds in fact. There was no shower cabin in the bathroom, only quite an old and small bathtub.

Still, this did not spoil our impression. Recommended to stay on your Meteora trip!

The location was second to none. We had a view room and the view was amazing. However, the hotel seems to rely on this and the rest was lacking. 3cm thick mattresses on top of the base. The aircon didn’t work the first night as we had it on ‘cool’ when apparently it should be on ‘heat’ to cool but there was no information anywhere about this! So our first nights sleep was hot and horrible as we arrived late and went straight to bed. The breakfast was terrible!!! The eggs were all over cooked and choices crap for those from outside Europe who don’t eat cake or salad for breakfast.

This hotel has an excellent location for those who want to visit the Meteore but prefer to stay overnight in the area. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet is varied and of a good quality. You can enjoy a fantastic view of the Meteore while refreshing in the outdoor pool.

We took a room with a view to Meteora, very fairly priced, even cheap for the value you get. Breakfast had a wide variety of food and was tasty, rooms were clean and had a balcony with amazing view. Totally worth it when compared to alternatives, decent apartments around the area cost pretty much the same and don't always have this amazing view and don't have a pool and breakfast. I'd say this was the most unique stay we've had and totally worth it, if we ever go to Meteora again we'll definitely stay there

If you are planning a trip to Meteora this is the hotel for you.

The views from the rooms are breathtaking, the staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful.
Located just outside of Kastraki, approached via a long tree lined drive, the hotel is certainly one where first impressions count and do not disappoint.

The breakfasts are very good with a really wide selection, catering for all tastes. Everything was freshly prepared and constantly replenished.

The pool is certainly very inviting after a morning spent exploring the monasteries. The area around is beautifully tended and very clean with excellent views across Kastraki towards Meteora.
We even enjoy an evening meal on the terrace overlooking the pool, taking in the spectacular view along side a nice glass of wine.

Our room was very clean, quite spacious for the area with its own large bathroom and nice balcony to enjoy those, simply amazing views.

There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in Kastraki, although you will need a car or to use a taxi to be able to enjoy them.

Finally a word on the staff.
Everyone was so friendly and helpful with a good dose of humour too. Nothing was too much trouble. Our request were always greeted with smiles, even the slightly odd ones! Dimitria, who worked the afternoon reception shift during our stay is fabulous. She gave us ideas of places to visit outside of the norm, provided a few ‘insider’ tips and was always interested to hear our experiences. A true asset

What a disappointing stay, we checked out after one night rather than stay for the two we had booked. This has place has so much potential but fails to deliver. It is clearly understaffed and does not prioritise customer service.

The good bits were that the room was clean and spacious and with a layout that works well for families. Some of the lamps weren’t working and the shower head did not sit in it’s holder.

The pool area was very crowded and there were no sun beds available. No towels are provided which is unusual for a hotel that claims to be 4*, fortunately we had some but other guests we spoke to didn’t. The water in the pool was cloudy and greenish in colour, my children were unable to see underwater despite wearing goggles. Shrubbery was overgrown.

After making a dinner reservation and being asked which table we would like, we arrived at dinner to discover our table had been given to another party and we were stuck behind a bush where we were unable to see the spectacular Meterora. Staff did rectify this by moving our table to another position.

Dinner was very poor. With 3 of the 4 dishes either over or undercooked. Service was also poor with no-one asking how the food was even when clearing full plates. When complaining about the food at checkout we were told no plates had been returned uneaten. They did reluctantly remove the cost of the worst of the dishes from our bill. We had intended to complain the previous evening but there was no-one available at the 24hr reception.

Breakfast was considerably better but would benefit from more fresh fruit.

An expensive mistake but we don’t regret seeing the Meteroa. Wish we had opted for the Philoxenia.

Hotel Meteora Kastraki is the best choice for accommodation in Meteora. We stayed for a weekend with my boyfriend and we were extremely satisfied by the service and the comfort of the hotel. It's located just a 10-minute drive from Meteora and Kalambaka, in a quiet secluded area but also close to everything. Our room was very comfy and had a breathtaking view right on the rocks of Meteora. The breakfast area was huge and the variety covered anything, even local sweet pies. The ingredients were so fresh and local! Finally the highlight of the hotel is the pool, which has an amazing view on Meteora rocks and is ideal for a hot summer day. Totally recommend!

Meteora is amazing and worth a visit. This is a beautiful hotel that provides everything for a very comfortable stay. Spacious rooms with incredible views of the stalagmite rocks, large pool area with stunning views and very friendly and helpful staff. Brilliant wi fi that permitted easy downloading of Netfilx for late night entertainment. Close to lovely tavernas and all monasteries. We recommend this for discerning travellers.

Visiting just after the covid restrictions cannot be easy for a hotel. But HotMet excelled it was simply sublime! The staff was exemplary and the food in the kitchen was great. The pool, views were spectacular and the rooms were clean comfortable and sound proofed perfectly. On the final night we were having dinner and the rain came down (we were fully sheltered) and the most spectacular rainbow appeared over Meteora. This hotel is amazing!
