This is a lovely finca not too far from San José or in my case from Santa Ana. Since it is close, you don't have to spend hours getting there. Roberto and Patricia are Canadian ex pats who have been in Costa Rica for about 15 years. They are excellent hosts and the food served is straight forward and good....

Over the past 11 years, I have stayed at Bob and Patsy’s more times than I can remember. And each time I return, I’m in awe at the beauty of their 300-acre finca. The view from the deck is breathtaking, even when the clouds float in. Patsy’s meals are second to none. And you’ll never find coffee as rich and...

I traveled to Roberto's and Patsy's Estate Inn and Coffer farm with my wife, sister and brother in-law to take in one of the horseback riding tours. Unfortunately we didn't follow Patsy's detailed instructions to get there and tried our own road and didn't arrive at there farm until 5 hours late. (Don't worry I am still being reminded by...

This was my third trip to Costa Rica for dental work, and my wife and I decided this time to rent an SUV and venture out into the country. Finca Las Alturas was an absolute delight, and Patsy and Bob were hospitable and gracious hosts. Patsy's cooking was wonderful, incorporating various local ingredients, some of which came from their farm....

We just returned from a family trip to Costa Rica with our two grown daughters and stayed with Bob and Patsy for 6 nights. We could not believe the view of the valley and the lush grounds around the B&B. With orange and lemon and limes growing all around , the beautiful bougainvillaea and the palm trees, surrounding the pool,...

The ranch and surroundings are gorgeous. However even better though was getting to know the owners Robert and Patsy on a personal level. The atmosphere in the ranch's dining and common area is very warm and hospitable. The food was tasty and heartwarming and provided the perfect backdrop for great conversation and true connections. Puriscal is an amazing place and...

Thank you Patsy & Bob for yet another wonderful stay! This was my third time at Las Alturas and I'll definitely be back. This time was to get some (very cost effective) dental work done, but of course I always have a great time, hanging out with the horses and other fuzzy characters, hiking on the property, and chilling by...

4 of us stayed for 5 days with Patsy and Roberto. We were made to feel like family friends immediatly. Patsy is a wonderful cook and Roberto is a great host. They both went above an beyond to accomodate us. Such great story tellers and so willing to share their knowledge and experience. We were introduced to local culture and...
