Wonderful stay at site 5 ! Set under beautiful gums and lots of wildlife. Two families with large vans fit very well on this flat site. Heather was very welcoming! We had views of both the water and the Flinders Ranges. Both sunset and sunrise were stunning. Kids had a ball climbing trees and building swings. Would stay again any highly recommend. Just beautiful

We loved our four night bush camping stay at Catninga Station . Heather and Brian were great hosts who have created excellent facilities and magnificent campsites for travellers wanting secluded and spacious campsites in beautiful natural surrounds. We highly recommend Catninga's "Peter Good Gully walk" and loved returning from our daily travels to visits from kangaroos, emus and very friendly beef cattle at our campsite.

A group of 12 of us glamped in our caravans over the long weekend. We are all very impressed with the rustic beauty so close to home. The 4WD tag along tour was fantastic and hosts Brian and Heather were very friendly and accommodating. 15 minutes from Port Augusta.

Thanks for a wonderful stay before we headed back to Tassie we loved our spot, the private toilet, the cows and the emus and the views to die for. Highly recommend this place. Close to the Port Augusta and a great place to stop en route to Port Pirie. Sense of being away from it all, but really quite close to everything. Thanks Heather

Camping at Site 5 at Catninga Station. Magnificent views, could not have chosen a more beautiful, natural site amongst the gumtrees, cows, emus and galahs. Great hot outdoor shower and fires each night. Host Heather very helpful. Highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay at Catninga. A warm welcome by Brian and Heather. A walk into a rugged beautiful gorge. Surrounded by farm animals, Kangaroos and Emus. Firewood supplied and an open starry sky. What more could we wish for expect next time a couple of nights in their mountain hut. Thank you.

The railway carriage has been done out beautifully, and is very comfortable for a couple. We took my elderly father, and Heather was most obliging in providing him with alternative accommodation to ensure privacy for us all. The hosts make the front verandah of the main house available for guests, and this was a great spot to sit and watch the sunset or have breakfast looking out over the great views of the Gulf. We took the option of the 4WD tour of the property - highly recommended and a must do. Brian's commentary was excellent, and we enjoyed a BBQ lunch at their 'Mountain Hut". While they were preparing lunch we tackled the Mt Brown summit, and were glad we did, although it was pretty tough going. The views on the drive were spectacular, and the wildlife was unperturbed as we passed close by. There is a lot of interesting history surrounding this property, and Brian and Heather are happy to share it. The carriage is not really set up for guests being self contained, however we understand there are plans afoot to improve this. The breakfast provisions were terrific, far better than we expected. If you are looking for somewhere quiet with breathtaking scenery, we would thoroughly recommend Catninga.

This is unique and special! Was wonderful to share this beautiful farm and its glorious sunset with our lovely hosts. So very peaceful and a spectacular sunset. Loved 'happy hour' on the verandah enjoying the view, and Heather & Brian are great company! Also love the railway cottage so full of character and unique but full of comfort and light and bright. Just wish we could linger longer! Thanks for having us at Catninga - highly recommend to others! We'll go again- and be back to pat the horses some more!
