We had three courses which was so tasty. The waitresses were very attentive and made sure that everything was perfect. The restaurant was very cosy and had a nice atmosphere. There was enough space between courses. The only criticism I have was there was only 3 choices on the menu for vegetarians and one of them was soup. One last...

Decided to have a champagne afternoon tea which at £28.50 is rather pricey. The champagne was excellent! I thought the choice of fillings for the sandwiches was rather unimaginative and the bread was nothing special. The scones were very good but the cakes again were unimaginative and really nothing special. The hotel seemed lovely and the service was good. We...

My partner and I booked in for only ne night at Milsoms Hotel, Kesgrave when we made a visit to Suffolk on Easter Monday. We were give a Royal Room, slightly away from the main building but excellent. One slight failing, no hooks in the bathroom for spare towels to be hung up? Food was excellent, the attention from the...

Had a lovely lunch here, with friendly and efficient staff. I had the African Spiced chicken, my husband the big portion of the spring rolls, which he enjoyed, but did say he could have done with a bit more sauce. We followed with ice cream and treacle tart, the only niggle was there is no wafer with the ice cream,...

The room was absolutely lovely. Couldn't ask for anything better. Complimentary drinks available in the room and all toiletries provided as well. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating. One absolutely AWFUL process though is how you order your meal. You have to fill in a slip of paper left on the table and a waiter/ess collects it. They...

Went for lunch here as a anniversary treat. Lovely meals. Hubby had roast beef and I had Bass, both very tasty and freshly cooked. Desserts were generous portions. Only negative was that it would have been better to have one person waiting our table instead of various ones. Asked for a dessert menu, after 10 mins it still hadn't arrived...

Stayed here overnight, we were given room number 1 and it was fantastic, the decor was superb, the bed comfortable and bathroom very luxurious. Enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant, but having to write your own order down on an order pad left on your table was an odd touch (luckily I took my glasses!). The food was delicious and...

I stayed here for one night due to business I was 'wowed' by the room I had. It was plenty big enough and had all that i would ever need. The bed was super big and very comfortable, service and room service excellent. I wish i could have stayed longer!

Lovely hotel with spectacular views. I had visited the restaurant a couple for times for lunch but this was the first time I had stayed here and dined in the evening. The meal was well presented with a good selection to choose from. I did think the lounge area of the hotel was looking a bit tired and possibly in...

The food was very good with excellent service. The menu was extensive with some interesting choices. I had Dingley Dell pork cutlets with an excellent sauce. The starter of whitebait was also very good.

Please note we do not reply to any comments posted. Please contact us directly if you wish to discuss your experience further. A superb joint venture between Milsom Hotels and Hills Group. The bistro restaurant has everything you would expect, inventive food alongside classics such as the delightful fish and chips, a buzzing but relaxed atmosphere and wonderful service from a friendly and professional team. Although you cannot book at Kesgrave Hall it is open all day! So you can arrive when you choose. The 'stay' part of eat, drink, stay (our milsoms mantra!) Could not be any more enjoyable. The Principal suites, whilst lavish and grand, are competitively priced and all bedrooms are beautifully designed and fully equipped with the very latest TVs and MP3 players. The bathroom products are lovely too! ... more   less
