have eaten at the Pelican several times at lunchtime as it is an ideal halfway point for meeting up with friends. The food and service have always been good and we have never felt rushed. The winter warmer meals on the menu were wonderful. Will continue to meet there in the future.

Booked the table over the phone as there was a large group of us 10 adults and 3 children under 4. We were asked to provide a pre-order, which was no problem at all. we had some special requests which were met with no issues We arrived and had a very warm welcome, food was served as we had asked,...

We have visited this pub for Sunday lunch a number of times, in all respects it has never failed to please. It is conveniently locate on the A4 roughly midway between Marlborough & Hungerford, in the village of Froxfield Wiltshire SN8 3JY There is a large free car park, adjacent to the pub. In the warmer weather its nice to...

After cycling the Kennet and Avon canal path from Bath the relaxing and comfortable feel to the pelican inn was well appreciated. The selection of food and speed of service was great. Breakfast the following morning was good too.

Stayed here for 1 night and the only problem fir some people maybe the lack of phone signal. Our room was large with the most comfortable bed ever we were at the front but the traffic noise didn't bother us. The food was lovely especially the breakfast which was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and yes we would...

Stayed for couple of nights mixing business with pleasure. Can't understand some of the previous bad reviews....I found it to be really good. Big room with all facilities and great bar/restaurant in scenic area. Of course it's by the road, nothing you can do about that. My room was at the front and traffic noise was not an issue (just...

A nice place with some atmosphere. Room large and bed very comfortable. But beware right on A4 with traffic all night long and secondary glazing not good enough to drown out the noise. Restaurant OK but limited menu and my main meal - red schnapper with Thai stir fried vegetables - came with a lot of cucumber and virtually no...

Room 7 was large and well decorated, but unfortunately directly overlooked the A4 and was extremely noisy. Water in the shower alternated between hot and cold and the shower cubicle could not have been smaller. Full English breakfast was very good.

I had the unfortunate 'pleasure' of checking in here on Sunday 17th July as was passing and exhausted, just looking for a room. I assumed the hotel might be busy so booked ahead on Booking.com - first mistake to book ahead! I was 'checked in' by the woman behind the bar and was made to feel like an inconvenience -...
