We have stayed 9 nights at Atlantis Palace Hotel, Mascali. This was one of our best vacation ever as the hotel had extremely friendly staff, the food was absolutely delicious. Even now when I am writing the review my daughter insist that she wants to meet the chef to thank him/her personally for the whole delicious meals. The room was spacious and the hotel organized some party for the guests with a great music. In addition , the hotel gave us the possibility to take different excursions, one of the best was to visit a crater on mount Etna (with Mario Gullo) for which I will write a distinct review. Best wishes! Karina,Ioana & Eugen

Staff and reception were nice and helpful. The hotel lobby was nice and clean. The hotel room and balcony was nice and clean. The room was perfect size for a family of 4. The staff was constantly cleaning when we were there. The pool was a nice size for both adult and children. They have their own private beach just across the street with nice clear and clean water. We reserved our room with lunch and dinner included and we were not disappointed. The 4 course meal was delicious. Any small change that we have requested for our children was accommodated. I would recommend this place to anyone. We would definitely come back here if we are ever in the area again.

I'm a bit of a cheap skate and we don't really stay in 4* hotels. Usually moving about touring. As we had toured the north and south west a few years ago we decided to have a week in one place with a beach and also go out from there, touring the east coast. We booked room with breakfast & dinner, as I looked around on Google maps and it didn't seam that there were many restaurants close by indeed there weren't any. Hoping that we would get a bit more variety at dinner as the only restaurants we ever found served piazza or pasta, now there nothing wrong with that but not for a week. Very spacious hotel. Lovely grounds with large pool and a separate children's one. Nice bar area with seating in and out. Main dinning room with a further restaurant by the pool. The whole hotel was constantly being cleaned and look great. Our room 242 was a very nice large room with a large and well equipped bath room. Although the shower holder on the wall didn't. Staying a week we could have done with a chest of drawers, there was only two small shelves in the wardrobe, and odd only a bed side light on one side. From our large balcony we had a side view of the pool area and to the front mount Etna. The down side was it was in the full afternoon sun and it was impossible to sit out there, too hot! A sun shade to go with the table and chairs would have been nice. Breakfast and most of the dinner courses were great (no soup spoons) but the main courses were we thought a little under par lacking quality. On one occasion our waiter removing the cap off my wife's Sprite bottle when it spurted out over my wife and the table. There was laughter and apologies but no attempt to rectify the situation, the waiter went off to get another bottle and no drying towel or tissue was forthcoming, lucky it was colourless Sprite. However a few nights later a waiter dropped a glass of red wine on to a table next to us and spilling over the table and an elderly lady's blouse cardigan and trousers. No immediate response from the staff to clear apart from one member came out with a box of wet wipes, not much help for the red wine. After a few mints the group moved to another table as it was wet and broken glass was on the floor, eventually the lady went to change. I would have expected a member of staff to have escorted her immediately to change take the clothing for cleaning. Wi-Fi was great even on the private beach area, with a bar and snacks served on the covered terrace. A shade and two loungers allocated to each room on the beach great. Just about every one tried in vain to get the lounger to an upright seating position but no luck, bit of a pain that. We enjoyed our stay at this vary nice hotel.

We had a lovely two week stay at this hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the hotel and pool and beach areas were spotlessly clean and the food was amazing. The hotel was most suitable if you were happy to stay at the beach or within the hotel grounds if you had no transport. However if you wanted to see other places a car would be highly recommended as there was not a lot going on close to the hotel, but much in the surrounding areas of the east coast of Sicily. Public transport was not easily accessed either.
