We booked 6 hours in advance on the phone. This was not easy because the owner does not speak any English. This is by the way very common in this part of the world! But I managed to get a room reserved. We where warmly welcomed in ii guess Catalan. It did not matter because it was well meant. Price was reasonable. Breakfast was good.
We arrived at the hotel at about 11pm with no booking, having driven down from the mountains and were beginning to resign ourselves to sleeping in the car. The girl on reception not only made us welcome but kept the kitchen open and cooked a 3 course meal complete with wine for 10 euros each! The rooms were large clean and comfortable (the only downside was the busy road outside if that kind of thing bothers you) and breakfast was good. Everyone very friendly.
Travelling North from Malaga we left it late looking for a hotel and this was the only one we could find with somewhere to park our car, in fact they allowed us to leave it directly outside and the night porter kept an eye on it. Staff were really helpful but the whole place is quite tired. The TV was ancient and tiny with only three channels. Although there is a restaurant and bar area both were closed. Breakfast was included in the price, a hot drink, glass of juice from a carton and choice of 2 small crossaint or 2 equally small Madeleine's.
