We had a great lunch in this fantastic place. Few guests, due to season of course, but the lunch was really great. Mértola is situated in the Natural preserve area Guadiana, not far (60 km) from the Algarve coast, on the road from Catro Marim to Beja. Well worth a visit!
Brand new place. Conviniently located. Very clean room and bathroom (with a tub). Free parking lot on the side. Kitchen should be better equipped. There was even no electric cettle and wine glass. Good vale for the money we paid.
I stayed there at the bicycle trip: needed just a bed and a shower. Breakfast: real Espresso, for free; freshly baked warm Croissants. Good and free Wifi everywhere. Excellent soundproof windows (there is a sports area nearby). The style is simple and functional, but not ugly: it has taste. There is no view to anywhere and it is on the edge of town, but that did obviously not matter in this case. They don't accept pets, though; so I can't come back.
Centrally located and easy to find. Free Parking across the road from the hotel. Lift available-to the first floor. our air conditioned Room with en suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable. electrically operated shutter across the large glazed patio door to a small balcony where you can sit and look across the town. A small communal kitchen is provided where there is tea, fresh coffee and a fridge. Great value and friendly receptionist. If you need somewhere to sleep overnight en route or perhaps two nights exploring the area then this is a good place to be. Mertola has some good restaurants and interesting history. Yes we would go back!!
Considering that Mertola is not a very big place the location of the guest house is convenient if you want to walk around the village. The service was good, although no much presence during our stay. Despite this, we didn´t need anything extra, so everything was ok. The room and bathroom were big, and cleanliness was high all around, including the common areas, being these a kitchen with facilities and a relaxing balcony area. Additionally it has a room for disabled people, and the different access are suited for them also, what could be convenient if you are looking for an acommodation with these characteristics. Considering that it has a restaurant area it would be nice if the breakfast was complimentary included with the booking.
