hotel rocamar, we first found it by chance in 2001 when searching last minute for a room for the week.

since then have been back every year.

the hotel itself offers accommodation and a restaurant and no other facilities. opposite the hotel there is a marina with various bars and restaurants offering great quality and value for money. there is also a swimming pool in the oppostite hotel (hotel corsa) which it would seem is open for anyone to use (never too busy and nice and quiet with waiter service for food / drinks).

the rocamar itself - hotel rooms were recently refurbished and are clean and modern, drinks prices are very reasonable in the hotel and the food is good.

best part about the rocamar - the view from the terrace - wowwwww looking straight at the beautiful ibiza town port. i would recommend a late afternoon cocktail on the terrace every time.

all in all a great long weekend hotel (10 mins from airport) for adults (groups and couples) looking to chill, enjoy the food, and a great base for doing all the other "must do" stuff in ibiza : clubs (5 min walk to el divino and pacha, ibiza town (5 min boat taxi from marina opposite)

We accidently found the Rocamar... and am so, so happy we did.
I spent my 30th birthday in Ibiza so was looking for something really special.
Its a small and personal hotel, where the staff are very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are contemporary and super clean although no luxuries like mini bar.
We had breakfast over looking the harbour (there is no beter way to start the day)
Its a five minute walk to Talamanca beach (which is a quite beach) and we could walk home from Pacha.
30 miniute walk to Ibiza town or take the ferry just at the harbour, which costs around 5 euro and takes 10 minutes.
28 euro to San Antonio
Staff know you by name and know the island very well so gave excellent advice on what to do etc.
Especially wonderful is Antonio who always took time to advise us and reccommend on what to do and not do. "Antonio you were wonderful"
I am already planning when to come back and visit... Seriously people if you like small hotels, friendly service and something within close proximity to the action but far enough away to escape... Rocamar is your place
Oh and hire a scooter you will see so much more

Small hotel in a very quiet area of Marina Botafoch. Service very good. Rooms clean and comfortable, even if a little small (is a standard for this price). Bar & Breakfast with fantastic view on old town. Walking distance to Talamanca Beach. Useful and cheap boat transfer every 15 minutes to the center. Good solution for a few days if You're not looking the mess of Playa d'en Bossa or Dalt Vila.

My husband and I have just returned from the Rocamar. We booked last minute after checking the reviews. The hotel was in a great location, wonderful views from the terrace and our room. It is worth paying extra for the sea view. The room was quiet, bed comfortable, shower powerful and lighting a nice touch. The staff were more than helpful and Andre in the bar was always happy to see us. The gin and tapas at 5 Euros was great (and large!). Water taxi right outside for a 5 min journey to Ibiza old town which was great for a night out. We overlooked the Botafoch marina which had amazing yachts and super yachts. There will be an STK restaurant within a few weeks under the hotel opposite which would be worth another visit. Talamanca beach a 2 min walk away with some nice restaurants. Would definitely return. 😀

Just came back yesterday from this Hotel as it was recommended through Trip Advisor. It did not disappoint at all.

We were 4 professional girls in our 30's, not too strapped for cash, were looking for a mixture of a bit of nightlife, some sightseeing and some rest. We got all of them through this hotel.

Location:-
Firstly this area of the Island is quieter than other areas but also has enough bustle and life for the evening. The fact the hotel was really easy to get to Ibiza town (old and new) was fantastic..you can take a regular boat from outside the hotel or like us walk in the early evening and enjoy the warm and very beautiful ibiza dusks (took about 30mins by foot along the flat).

A 5 minute stroll around the back of the hotel brought you onto the very beautiful and laid back (no Croydon Chav types here!) Talamancia beach. Mainly singles in late 20s/30s/40s (hetro and gay mix), a spinkling of families and older couples. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants along the beach.

Right opposite the hotel is a larger hotel which we could use the pool. (large with lovely views) .didnt need to ask and never thought we were breaking any rules.

Hotel Rooms
We had one with a balcony and one with no balcony and sea views. All of us with happy with our rooms, clean, seem to be freshly decorated, beds very comfortable, fantastic shower (lots of power behind it), fresh towels and rooms cleaned and beds made at a very convient time (we never saw them do it rather than other hotels when you get knock on the door at 7am!!)

Only downside (which I think someone else here mentioned) is not much storage space (but to be honest ibiza you dont need much..we completely overpacked. They really could do with a few more hooks on the doors and in the bathroom but apart from that it was fine. Pack a few spare hangers though to increase your storage.

It is quite near another bar which one of my mates found a little distracting but they did keep the windows open and she was a light sleeper..and the bar closed around midnight. We, in our room, had no problems with the noise at all and slept soundly.

Breakfast
What more could you ask...sitting on the outside terrace overlooking the harbour and mulitmillion pound yachets..with old Ibiza town over th harbour. Fresh friut, unlimited fresh made coffee, fresh baked muffins, bread crosiiants etc, cheese and ham, cerels, toast etc. Really made us want to linger before dragging ourselves into the sunshine over the road to sit by the lovely pool!

Staff
Were wonderful..helpful,charming, smiling, nothing was too much of a problem, reception was always staffed despite the small size of the hotel.

Overall Style
Beautifully decorated..looked fresh and new, light and airy and dont think the hotels website does it justice. Quite quiet which is what we wanted from a hotel with 16 rooms..so really felt that we were coming back to a haven to relax.

Highly recommend this hotel..bit loathed to say how good it is because it will make it harder to get a reservation but with a quality hotel of this nature and run by such lovely people they really deserve to do well.

(PS we also noticed they had radiators in the rooms..so i guess they are open in the winter and now BA are doing winter flights..maybe a good option for the winter as well.)

We have just arrived back from Ibiza this weekend and are already having withdrawl symptons. We stayed at the Rocamar hotel the first week after finding the hotel through this site. Can I thank the lady who put the first posting on the site in Febuary. She is totally right about this place it is clean, staff are very friendly and the view across to the marina is spectaluar, especially in a morning eating your breakfast.

The only thing we were a little unhappy with was the lack of storage in the room, if you are going for more than a couple of days expect to live out of a suitcase.

The hotel is within walking distance to Ibiza toown and the beach, the walks of which we thoughly enjoyed on an evening. We would hihly recommend this little gem of a hotel and plan to return some time next year.

This small hotel is located in the marina of Ibiza. You'll not be in the center of the city. However multiple advantages: you'll get a fantastic panoramic view of Ibiza town. The area is quiet. You can take a little bus boat for 4 euros return to the city, it'll take 15 minutes and it's a very cool way to enjoy Ibiza.
I'd definitely recommend this hotel to have a weekend getaway in Ibiza.

We booked RocaMar for one night, after we decided to stay in Ibiza for one more night . We were extremely happy. We had been staying in playa de bossa for a week, but spending nearly all our time in the old town and port, as it was more our style. We wish we had stayed in RocaMar the whole time! It is chic, Spanish and traditional and a one minute walk from a beautiful port, with an array of busy, beautiful, European restaurants and bars. It is an upmarket area and perfect for couples, looking for a Spanish experience. The rooms are very small, which would put me off staying for a long time but all in all a great stay. The view from the terrace is stunning and they made us welcome with a glass of cava on arrival. Mucho gracias!

My husband and I stayed in Ibiza for 2 weeks, during summer holidays, and we had a very pleasant experience at Rocamar Hotel. The building is worthy a visit for its unique location, it stays in a quiet and exclusive area of Ibiza town (Marina Botafoch), near luxury venues, bistros and Pacha famous disco, but it’s also at the right distance from the touristic masses typical of the Old Ibiza Town (Dalt Vila), where you can go in a short walk or taking a taxi-boat just in front of the hotel. The big terrace where breakfast or other meals are served offers a picturesque view of the port and the old town castle … thanks to the Ibizan sunsets we enjoyed a few romantic and tasty dinner at Rocamar restaurant!
We decided for this hotel because even if small size it offers high standard services and modern fitting: I suggest for long stayings – more than 1 week – to choose the upgrade to PREMIUM room, since it’s more comfortable and some of them have a nice balcony (we really appreciated our). Maybe the room fitting is just a little basic so, for example, should you have many clothes with you it’s better you bring hangers because there weren’t many. The hotel hosts mainly adults (couples/families) looking for a peaceful setting, so I would not suggest it to youngsters or large groups aiming to make “parties movida”.
Last but not least, the hotel staff is very kind and helpful, since the first contacts to our staying there we asked them so many things and they were always ready to help us (when reserving from Italy, we also rented a car through Rocamar at a very good price, considering the busy summer period) … so we would definitely come back !

This was my favorite place to stay during my whole vacation. It was such a lovely and quaint place, and the vibe was very pleasant and friendly. The service was just great, the staff was extremely helpful. They always greeted us with a smile on their faces. It is so essential that the people serving you do it happily. The rooms were basic but well maintained I must say. For the price we paid, I doubt we would be able to get such service anywhere else. The location was excellent. It was so convenient, all the shops were close by and the beach was also near the hotel. The breakfast provided by the hotel was superb and a generous spread, which was enjoyable. Overall we really liked our stay here. The service we got here was unbeatable and I would prefer to stay here rather than other luxury hotels to save money and get great service.
